I have noticed a lot of threads being created for the New York shows, so instead of having multiple threads why don't we just have one
I say for who ever is going to the first show@ summer stage that we meet at the summer stage around 4 or 5pm I am going to be there with a sign that says BBMB,
I am planning out my trip right now, I plan on flying out of Detroit on Aug 8th arriving in New York around noon that same day. I am planning on staying in a hostel or somewhere cheap (any good recommendations?)
The only problem is I do not have any tickets for the shows, I am planning on buying some tickets off eBay but would rather pay face value instead of paying a scalper.
I am looking for other fans to chill with before the shows, other fans who want to check out the Paul's Boutique location and other beastie land marks. other fans with to travel with to the Brooklyn show, or to split cabs to get around town. cut the cost in half
so PM me if your interested in meeting or if you have any extra tickets, also post in this thread if your going to the New York show and you want to meet, or if you have any other ideas for places to meet before the shows or after the shows

I'm really wishing I would have taken the week off, I would have loved to hang in the city with out of towners. I'm going to be a zombie at work.
Try stubhub as well for tickets.
I have tickets for McCarren, going to try to make Central Park and I think I'll goto Hammerstein but I haven't gotten tix yet.

I'm going to all 3 shows and would love to meet up with some people. Just throwin' it out there, maybe we could meet up before the Central Park show at Strawberry Fields? It's on the West Side between 71st and 74th Streets, and the Summerstage is at 69th Street and 5th Avenue. Thoughts?

And this is an update (distance to park from each spot by MAP) from a previous post of mine
I'm meeting up with a few people around 4, but not exactly sure where yet. Here's what we're deciding on food wise, and there's no shortage of bars in Williamsburg .. Hopefully this helps a bit

WE SAY: Established in 1900, Bamonte's has the best Italian atmosphere
in the hood. Has an old-school, Sopranos feel and is gloriously hipster
free. Plus, many of the pastas are homemade. Bamontes effin rules and
is a hidden treasure. The best place in Williamsburg to take out of
towners. Be sure to make a reservation on weekends. Bamonte's will make
you feel like you have gone back in time to experience the authentic
American Italian experience in Brooklyn.

WE SAY: Voted best pizza by the NY Press, this brick oven joint boasts
that its brick oven is 112 years old. Maybe this is true, but to be
honest all we really care about is the pizza and it is pretty darn
good. Atmosphere is classic Brooklyn, wood paneling and all, and
perfect for a cozy dinner. Italian entrees with often homemade pasta
are a nice added bonus.

DELIVERY: Yes
EXTRAS: Outdoor dining
WE SAY: The owner of Taco Chula has taken over the storefront and
garden formerly known as Uncle Mina. Though not as upscale as its taco
counterpart, if frequent dining is an indication of a good eating
joint, this one may be our current #1. For the past week we've ordered
take out from Falafel Chula almost every night. The reasons: a).
They’re inexpensive and quick for a working girl like myself who
doesn’t always feel like cooking. b). Their Middle Eastern food is
fresh and we can tell they change the oil in the fryer frequently. c).
The staff is so nice that it’s like our falafel sandwich is not only
wrapped in pita, but packaged with love. Love from a waitstaff is
pretty hard to find these days, especially in snarky Williamsburg, so
we’re going to take all we can get. We have been having a difficult
time moving beyond the Deluxe Falafel sandwich. The roasted eggplant
and freshly fried green falafel is some of the best we’ve had in the
city. We’ll let you know how the other menu items are when we grow
tired of this sandwich. But we suspect it’s going to be a while.

Miyako
CUISINE: Sushi, Japanese, Korean

HOURS: Mon-Sat, 5pm-11pm; Sun, closed
CARDS: American Express, MasterCard, Visa ($20 min.)
BOOZE: Beer, Wine, Sake

MAP: 9 blocks
http://www.google.com/maps?
q=143+Berry+St,+Brooklyn,+NY+11211&ie=UTF8&z=15&om=1
DELIVERY: No
WE SAY: The best sushi in Williamsburg at a reasonable price. The
interior is subtly decorated with soft colors and wood benches,
providing a very enjoyable and Zen atmosphere. Korean dishes are
equally satisfying. Try the ginger tofu or ginger chicken and you will
not be disappointed. Flavors are refreshing in their subtlety, as they
should be. If you want Thai—go to PlanEat Thai. If you want sushi or
Korean- Miyako is the place to be. On the downside: the crab is that
fake crap.

That's cool. Most patrons erroneously (or ironically) refer to it as "Turkey's Neck". Plastic cups discourage bottle fights.
There's another drinking establishment in the area called Enid's that's somewhat fly.
5:30 pm doors doesn't leave much time for the pre-party. Anyone know an official start time for tonight's musical journey? Brooklyn what!
