what did everyone think of the show??? I got there a bit late but made my way up to the stage for blackstar, roots,pe,cypress, wutang, and started making my way back for rage but stayed for the whole show. My fav was cypress hill just becasue we rolled up a huge blunt waiting for 'I wanna get high' to come on and and bong rip was priceless. Roots were also great and alot of my non-rap fans were extremely impressed with their skills as musicians. Second time I saw the Roots and plan on seeing them plenty more times as they put on a great show. Crowd was a bit weak for wutang partly due to the 100 degree temperature and lack of water but they still killed it and Rage rocked the house til the end. Great show (y)

the show had its ups and downs, but im glad i went anyways. Being the second or so show of the tour, the sound was f'd up at times...mike levels were all over the place, especilly during WU's set. Meth and ghostface were way up, and others you could barely hear....amateur hour at the soundboard at times during some of the acts.

Honestly, the best set i think was a toss up between Living Ledgends on the second stage, and Cypress Hill. Living Ledgends tore it up big time, and the sound was excellent, with the exception of DJ Fresh's attempt at a solo set, which was blamed on dirty needles...but he dropped some killer beats during the set. Cypress was short, clear sounding, and spot on....complete with a live bong hit on stage...their usual weed gimmicks. Im guessing "Yhuba Gold".

Rage completely tore it up....sounded real good and crisp overall, and good track selection....3 song encore..including the expected politcal rant, which got away from zack a bit. They were tight though for not having played together in a while.

Backstage/VIP tix fell through, but we scored 10$ tix right outside the gate from a random...and wierd cause all the reg scalper scums were still charging 80$ + for single tix?? thought they might be fake, but they wernt.

What was up with the weak NYC crowd? WU was straight up pissed during thier set, and like meth said, the set would reflect the crowds energy....maybe thats why they did nothing off of Iron Flag. Weak!

Redman showed up for a track with Meth...highlight of thier set. Not enough Ghostface....RZA, rippin it up as always.

All in all, decent show, but think i might have been dissapointed had i paid retail for a ticket. Crowd was generally lame.

i don't know where you guys were standing for the show, but i was right up front for both shows, and the crowd was wild there. wu ripped shit, and so did rage.

the first day was hot as hell, and people were passing out all over. the second day, it rained for most of the begininning, but by the time wu went up, i was dry. i'd have to say the sunday crowd was more into it, but the saturday crowd was way more wild. the first day, people were getting trampled all over up front. was kinda disappointed Erykah Badu didn't show up sunday, though.

words can't really explain how dope all the shit was. i doubt those shows could ever be topped.

i thought it was aight. i went to the sunday show. i guess i'm jaded, i've seen about 80% of the acts already including wu and rage in better venues (and weather). rage did kill it though, wu eh. DOOM was very good at the paid dues stage, kweli came out and did a song while mos def was seen backstage rhyming along to every lyric.

i missed cage, yak ballz and lif (met him while watching felt though) unfortunately but i've seen them before, i'm sure their shows were good. felt's set was good too.
