I'm gonna dip into the feelings a bit here...but I REALLY do appreciate this underground mixing group we have pieced together. The highlight of my day (no shit here) is logging on and hearing new shit. It's crazy how many different styles can bloom from (basicly) the same pool. Professionals, club DJ's, and bedroom DJ's (me) alike, we all come here to hear/post the newest shit. And, most often, it is a pleaser...regardless of the skill level.
I got into it by listening to Taco Zip. Nobody can deny that Zip is the shit. Then I heard Joakizmo's shit, and Nygel's, and I was hooked. Then Uro-Nitro really blew me away with the ever-present finesse. And, most recently, I've been awe struck by The Biologist and 7x5 (which, I have recently learned, is "7 times 5", not "7 by 5"). And, who can forget - the only man to bring me to tears with a mix - CosmoKramer (Open letter to NYC - Take Me Home). The man from Staten NEVER disapoints.
All these guys coming together to mix the Beasties for nothing but fun...I love it. And who has made the BIGGEST contribution? I'll tell you. He is a man who has not ONE mix to his name, yet he has a passion that is unbridled. Silence7 deserves all of our "Gratitude". He has done more to keep this thing alive than any mixer EVER will. And, I am sure, he is a man that would "Fight for your Right to Party". Silence7 is the shit. Bar none.
Anyway, i just wanted to thank everybody. This has been a MUCH welcome addition to my life. Long live the Beasties.
And long live the continuous stream of fans who want to mix them.
Here, here! I could not have stated that any more eloquently, Bobaratt. I echo your sentiments entirely. In particular the endless love and care that Silence7 puts into keeping the site alive and thriving. We love you, Silence7!!! (y)(y)(y)(y)(y)

I agree whole-heartedly. This site, as well as the beastiemixes site, provides a great outlet - especially for us "bedroom DJs". Much love to everyone that makes it work (and to those that contribute).

[name drop] Bobaratt's coolness rating +2
also, yes, silence, thanks for your work. I was about to give up due to lack of hosting site around the Hello Johnny bootleg, then you sent me a message about the whole idea. if not for you, i could be out of the mixin service all together.

That Silence7 guy is a moron, I heard he charges guys for hosting, and demands that they fill his friends remix requests without any compensation.
He makes people wait until very late at night for their mixes to be uploaded.

(5-30-2007)Laaaaate!!
He made one guy remix a bunch of Vanilla Ice songs just so he could prank the rest of the hosted guys. ICEMixes.com (http://beastiemixes.com/icemixes/vanilla.shtml) now that was f-ing cruel...
He made a bunch of people remix some crazy ass rooster song (http://beastiemixes.com/contest.htm), that was even cruel(er) than the Vanilla Ice deal..
Then he pulled this shit (http://beastiemixes.com/aprilfools/index2.htm) on us one year....
You do know that he runs the site because he's a lazy bastard who was too lazy to come here and download mixes, now all you guys deliver the mixes to him... What a punk he is...
Ya know why he wears the mask, he's ugly as sin, that's why!!
You also know that he sells your mixes at car boots, swap meets, and church rummage sales. He's making a tidy profit and living a life of luxury, off of your sweat.
====================================
Don't thank this bastard, you should be thanking each other for making such awesome mixes and being nice enough to share them with the world. You guys are the rock stars, he's just the lazy promoter.

Plus the one time I posted my first little try at a remix you guys were nice to me. Now that's heart.

He enticed me with an oversized lollipop and made me smell something off of a rag which made me woozy. I woke up with a funny feeling that I had been violated. :D

I'm starting to become a little (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalking) more (http://www.funnyhub.com/pictures/pages/steroid-freak.html) than (http://coneyislandshortcakes.com/blog/?p=85) worried (http://www.cafepress.com/buy/fetish/-/pv_design_prod/pg_1/p_storeid.93797034/pNo_93797034/id_9774733/opt_/fpt_/c_360/)....
