ive heard you can melt candle wax on it as a (very) temporary fix till you can get to a dentist, to help get food and infection from getting in. i dont entirely understand where you mean that it is positioned, but if you can melt some candle wax on it, go for that.

i also think they make some kinda goop you can buy at the store that does something similar.
