not even i would do such tasteless/attention whorish things just for fun
but it's true, i think my dog is pretty close to death
today my dog had like 5 cramp, heart or epileptic attacks or whatever
very very heavy breathing going on, she spits out lots of slime after each attack
first she hardly ever had attacks, now it seems like she is starting to get them every hour, i think her weak heart cant take this much longer
she seems to have some serious pains right now, poor thing :(
right now it seems like she could die in the next few hours (n)

How old is your dog? And I don't understand exactly what is happening, is she having seizures? Have you tried convincing your mom to get her to a vet? Maybe try to make her feel guilty about the bunny rabbit situation. Guilt is a great motivator.
Try to keep your dog calm, like in a dark quiet room, so that she doesn't have any extra stress on her. If she is in fact having seizures, just leave her alone while they are happening and stay away from her (but make sure she's not where she can hit anything if she is jerking around) and when she is not give her rubs and bring her water and try to be soothing.
I don't know what else to tell you. I hope she is ok :(
I send your doggy my love.

Is it wrong that I generally like pets more than people, even pets I only vaguely know through the internet?
Hope your doggie doesn't suffer too much.

thanks, yeah probably seizures
my english is shit especially when i panic
my mum just gave her some meds and it seemed like it made her calm but sadly only for a few minutes then she got a seizure again and my mum could finally see how bad they are
i did all the things you said before
this is a really bad night and my mum (hopefully) calls a vet if its still that bad tomorrow
and she is a huge almost 12 year old st bernard mix

That is starting to get pretty old... has she had seziures before like always had them, or is this a recent thing? If it's only just happened very recently maybe she ate something poisonous? I don't know why she would all of a sudden start having them. Do you know what medicine your mom gave?
This sounds silly but I wish I could be there, even if there is nothing that can be done it's still making me feel upset that I can't do anything to help. I love dogs and I know how much it hurts to have them sick and to not be able to do anything about it. I don't know what time it is over there, I figure pretty late but maybe if you can you should stay up with her to monitor how she is doing. If it seems like your mom will call the vet (I really hope so) write down anything important you notice that the vet might need to know, like when they started, how long they last, how long between, things like that because things like that can help them make diagnoses or prescribe the right medicines.
Best of luck. Give her an under-ear scratch for me.

the vet would put her to sleep, she is in a VERY bad condition
she just started getting seizures like 2 months ago, and only from time to time but tonight they wont stop
and she didnt eat poisoned stuff cause she wasnt outside in a while, she can only walk a few steps..too old for more
this is like a fight with the death
it also feels horrible that i cant do much for her
about the meds, my mum gave her something homeopathic for the heart and circulation
its 4 in the morning here

I am sorry for your dog Randy. Just do your best to make her as comfortable as you can. I hope they ease off so that she can have some rest. I wish something more could be done to help.

hugs to randy and randy's doggie
i'm gonna feel kinda silly if i start to cry. i think i'm getting there. it makes me sad even though i don't know her.
i thought i wanted to become a vet to help animals but i really just cant handle it when they die. it's really not fair that dogs have such a shorter lifespan than us.

yeah i agree
*hugs back*
i wish she would stop breathing
this look pretty cruel
like she is running in her sleep but in a fearful way plus the heavy breathing..
i cant hold back my tears either

if it is any comfort i am sure that she isn't aware of what is happening. if she stops and is awake she will be very tired and sore i'm sure but as of right now she is not feeling any suffering. i'm going on what i know about seizures of people i know... i have a family member with epilepsy and a friend also, and they are not aware at all during them. friend actually gets them in her sleep and would wake up in the morning and couldnt figure out why she was always sore all over and had lots of bruises and though that it was sports injuries until her parents found her having one. i would even say that if they stop and she is still alive but unconscious still rub her and talk to her, cause maybe she could still feel, like people who are in comas and stuff, how they say they can hear people sometimes, and im sure that would be comforting.

my mum once told me that you shouldnt touch dying animals cause it would make it harder for them "to go"
yeah my brother had some hardcore epilepsy a few years ago, his lips turned blue and such, this situation is kinda similar
my mum got told like 5 or 6 years ago that this dog has a weak heart but it just wont stop beating

i don't know, i guess it depends on the dog. one of mine loves attention and needs it constantly... being petted, being talked to... she's pretty much always incredibly happy as long as she gets attention, and i think if she was sick or hurting she would want someone there for her. some other dogs might prefer to be alone though. but probably just being there can help. when a person is sick usually their dog will stay by their side, so it makes sense to me that they're doing what they would want done to them. i guess you just kind of have to see how things go and do what you think is best.

i don't know how it is where you live, if you have a yard or live in an apartment or what, but ive always buried my pets in my yard. even though i've moved away from places where pets have been buried, it makes me feel good to know that they are there at their home where they lived.
some places there are pet cemeteries or pet crematories but i don't know how expensive that is and i know that can be a major issue. and i think some vet offices will take them and dispose of the body for you so that you don't have to deal with it, i dont know if there is a charge for that. actually i never really thought of what people did who didn't have yards.
if you bury her make sure it is deep and put something over/around her so that other animals are less likely to smell. we buried my cocker spaniel in a trash bag and on the one hand i felt bad about that it was a trash bag, but i'd have felt a whole hell of a lot worse if some stray dog dug her up :(
it's not a nice thing to think about having to deal with but i hope that you can work something out

here pets get thrown away like trash
i think youre not allowed here to burry them even when you have your own yard because of the ground water rules
sooner or later we have to get her to the waste disposal somehow
damn im tired, it's after 6 oclock in the morning

this is weird
she is still breathing, squeaking and moves her mouth sometimes
but at the same time she doesnt react anymore and my mum touched her and said she feels like she is dead (stiff)
maybe she is in a coma or brain dead
hope she doesnt feel much anymore and keeps breathing so she will stay "fresh" over the weekend

one hour ago she finally died and im feeling better now cause it was a long and cruelsome death
guess she was only half brain dead (if that exists) last night i noticed that she tried to stand up and moved her body a bit, her squeaking were some tries to bark and she definitely had some serious pains going on
she had some pains almost her life long like heavily infected ears and problems with her hips (she had to get a surgery)

please ignore about 90% of that picture lol
my mum always prefered this dog and my sister and i wondered why, we liked our dalmatian definitely more cause he was playing with us and was just fun while she slept all the time (our carpet with pulse) but once when i started taking a walk with her i noticed how awesome she is, she was friends with all dogs and wanted to play with them, the small dogs were scared of her so she threw herself on the back and made herself as small as possible so they would play with her, she even played with cats while our dalmatian is an aggressive asshole outside and hates everything and everyone, she used to take my hand in her mouth when i was walking too slowly and pulled me closer to my mum while our dalmatian didnt give a shit about such things and only minds his own business
hope she is doing well now
losing 3 pets in 2 months is some drippin hardcore shit (n)

Aww she was gorgeous, she looks very sweet in that picture. And kind of embarrased, but very sweet, haha.
I'm sorry Randy :(
But I'm glad that it is finally over and that you can get some relief. Hm, what I'm about to say sounds pretty horrible, but I'm making a good point at the end I promise. Having seizures for that long would cause a lot of brain damage I'm sure. So even though she was moving around and such I wouldn't be surprised to find out that she wasn't all that aware or really feeling much pain. I think generally when animals are dying they go into sort of a shock that reduces their pain. At least I know most prey animals do, like birds. It's like god built in a little switch to tune them out before they get devoured by a cat and prevent them suffering. That sounded pretty gruesome, but the point I'm trying to make is that hopefully she was not much in pain, and I'm sad about your doggy but it seems good that this is finally over. And I have to say, all things considered, you have handled it quite well.
