My job took me to Red Rocks last night.

While I was standing in the backstage area while a warm up band was playing, I looked up to the spectacular view of 9000 souls looking down onto the performers.

Then.........quite fucking naturally.....................I thought, "The Beasties are coming, The Beasties are coming!"

Beastie Boys Week is finally here for Colorado!

For those coming in from out of state, the local forecast (which is usually wrong by the time it gets here - but, again, here's hoping) is calling for a perfect 82 degrees for Red Rocks on 8/16. Throw in an occasional mountain breeze, and all should be set up for a perfect night with The Beasties.

The altitude can happily kick an unsuspecting tourist's ass at Red Rocks. Allow for extra time as you climb the stairs to the mountain top.

The Best outdoor spot in the U.S. for a concert is getting PRIMED for The Red Rocks Show/EVENT(!) of the Summer!!!!!

Is the show at red rocks a Gala Event? I got tickets for the fillmore and for the Red Rocks and the fillmore clearly states and even sends an email to dress to impress - but nothing for the red Rocks. I have some friends going and they are telling me that it is not - dress to impress at RR, only Fillmore.

I am not wearing a suit,but would be nice to have a heads up
