Anyone else? I've been discovering some music, old and new, that is more interesting to me right now. Not necessarily better, but different. I will be back one day I'm sure, but I'm exploring I guess. I used to always feel like listening to the Bboys, but over the last couple months it's actually been a rare thing.

I'm not into new music at all. New meaning anything after 2000.

If I'm not listening to the Beasties, I'm listening to some form of talk/sports radio.

Although, I did recently pop in an old 2 Live Crew cd. And it's been kinda fun.

You shouldnt just listen to one band anyway, theres so much good music out there, BBoys are just one band, albeit one of the best. I've been listening to a lot of old hardcore punk recently - Black Flag, Agnostic Front, Adolescents, Descendents, 7 Seconds etc. and been enjoying the new ones from Bad Brains & Bad Religion, as well as The Mix Up. I always regularly listen to Check Your Head though, I just have to!!;)

I always have at least 2 BB cd's in my car, and at some point juring the day one of them will be played, even if it's just a few tracks of an album. I can't remember the last time I went a day without listening to at least one BB song. Don't get me wrong, I don't just listen to them, my taste is very diverse, but BB always remain my happy fix. Honestly, I rarely even listen to MUSIC anymore.. Unless I go to a concert.
I pretty much listen to Howard Stern everyday in my car.
Sad, but true. I was thinking the other day how strange that is....

Right now I'm on a 80s dance kick. Expose, Noel, Stevie B., Brenda K. Starr. I go through phases like that. But the Beasties always are in the rotation, no matter what phase I'm going through.

I haven't listened to the beasties in a looooooong time until the mix up came out. I listened to that for a little bit and decided to pop in Check Your Head. I kind of forgot how much I dig that album.

Right now I'm listening to RATM, but that's just this exact second. I've listened to Sonic Youth more than anyone else over the past few months. Over the last week or so I've listened to Lily Allen a lot.

I think its totally natural to burn out on a band not long after they release a new record. Especially with the beasties, where I'll be following every single little piece of news and rumor for months and months before the album drops, and then listen to the album a million times a day for like a month after it comes out. Ya get sick of it eventually. By this time im on a beastie break, or should i say "hiatus" until the LA shows.

The new mark ronson cd "version" is my record of choice these days. It's very diverse and funky.

yeah funnily enough i popped in my first beasties cd in about 5 or 6 months today while washing the car, sounded good, but i jsut think i've matured to a large enough of an extent that i don't quite look to the boys for my musical pleasure so much anymore

I always listen to beastie boys and countless other HIPHOP emcees/groups,,but in general I have taken back to the old school era of everything meaning all genres of musique cuz the whole scene is watered down by record companies trying to play "god" with the whole creative process.

That's a really good album, i had picked it up 99% for the song with Lily Allen, but the rest was just as good.

It seems like i pick up new cds almost everyday i work (i work at the Newbury Comics in Braintree MA, I"M THE ONE WITH THE MOHAWK!!! :D) so everything gets a rotation everyonce in a while if i start to put cds away into my alphabatized collection. Beasties will get some heavy rotation before the shows both on sunday and monday.
