I'm not sure what the tv commercial was for, but i SWEAR i heard "Looking down the barrel of a gun'" on the tv!
Has anyone else heard or seen this?

YES IT IS!!! That beat is actually by THE EAGES song called "Those Shoes" the beasties sampled it in "Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun" I've heard the eagles song. And yes that was a bra commercial lol it was a victoria's secret commercial. so no need to worry bout beasties sellin out it was originally eagles guys.

according to beastiemania, it is "Last Bongo in Belgium" by Incredible Bongo Band... I just listened to the preview over at itunes and it is the exact sample...

and to think that the beastie boys invented the beat and then sold out for selling their song in an ad, come on:rolleyes:

thanx for the correction I had read somewhere under a samples list they sampled the eagles i wonder why it didn't say Incredible Bongo Band...

no, it sounds like Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun, because it uses the same beat that Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun used...

I believe the High Plains Drifter beat is an Eagles sample.

I always liked the BB's but I haven't heard all of their songs such as that one YET...I like that Eagles song "Those Shoes" the beat is pretty cool..oh cool they sampled it, definitely gotta hear it. In a bra commercial? lol. Nor have I seen that commercial new to the board don't even realize how old this thread it but replied anyways.:D
