go and find anything by donny hathaway, not really underground but definatley worth checking, minnie riperton also, especially come to my garden, a brilliant psychedelic soul album, les fleurs is just a ridiculously good tune

Hmmm soul music. The closest thing to soul music I like cranking thru my turntable is James Brown, Stevie Wonder and George Benson. But I guess George isn't really soul. Or is he?
