How I Save Beastie Boys Videos from Daily Motion on a PC so I can watch them in real time without the videos pausing all the time!

1: The way I do It, you need Mozilla Firefox, which is a web-browser program you can download
for free from here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/
2: Start playing the video you want on dailymotion: http://www.dailymotion.com
3: Now using the mouse, position the cursor over the name of the video at the top (example: "MARK ON
THE BUS" - LIVE AT THE CROCODILE CAFE), right click once, then left click "View Page Info".
3: Now left-click the "Media" tab at the top of the Page Info box.
4: Scroll slowly down until you see the word "Embed" underneath the "Type" column.
5: Now scroll a little more until you see "Embed" again.
6: Now highlight the address to the left of "Embed" on the same line, right-click the mouse once and
left-click "Copy".
7: Now open the regular internet explorer (not Firefox) and go to this web page: http://keepvid.com/ ,or if it isn't working, this one:
http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php8: Position the cursor in the box under where it says "Download videos DIRECT from most sites"
and then right-click once, and then left-click "Paste".
9: Left-click the "DOWNLOAD" box right next to where you pasted the address.
10: Right-click ">>Download Link<<" after it appears, left-click "Save Target As...", then choose a name and folder and then
left-click "Save". Voila!
Now you need an .flv player to watch it. A lot of computers come with this already. Otherwise you can download a free one if you search on Google.
To convert the .flv files so you can burn them I use SUPER: http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html#Dnload (also free!)

To save Youtube Videos:

1: Start playing the video on youtube ( http://www.youtube.com/ ) and copy the address by right clicking the mouse once on the text at the top in the address box and the left clicking copy.
2: Open internet explorer and go to this web page: http://keepvid.com/ ,or if it isn't working, this one:
http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php
3: Position the cursor in the box under where it says "Download videos DIRECT from most sites"
and then right-click once, and then left-click "Paste".
4: Left-click the "DOWNLOAD" box right next to where you pasted the address.
5: Right-click ">>Download Link<<" after it appears, left-click "Save Target As...", then choose a name and folder and then
left-click "Save". Voila!

I forgot to say that if the video downloads super fast, watch it because sometimes it only saves the first few seconds in which case you have to clear your temporary internet files. To do this:

1: Left click on "Tools" at the top, then left click on "Internet Options".
2: Left click on "Delete Files" the click on the "Delete all offline content"
to check it then click "OK". Then close the boxs and re-download the video and this time it will download the whole thing!

That's why it's a good idea to check the videos after you download them to make sure it worked which they do about 90% of the time.

sounds complicated to me

just get this one:Youtube Google Video Grabber v1.0.0.0 Retail (y)
for sites like YouTube, Google Video, Daily Motion, iFilm, Myspace, angryalien, ThatvideoSite, ZippyVideoes, Blip.tv, Break, Putfile, Bolt

it's so easy, copy Permalink or URL and open Video Grabber which will do the rest

o/c you need flv player but you have a bunch of video converters free for download on the internet

every video you watch on dailymotion or youtube or anywhere are automatically saved in "temporary internet files" anyway... (if you use internet explorer). So, once you watched the video, just look for it in "temporary internet files" ;)
