I had 3rd row last night at the Opera House and I've gotta say that it was probably one of the best, if not the best, show I've ever experienced!!
The boys looked great and the sound was incredible. You could understand every word they said.. not like some arena.... It was an amazing experience and I just wanted to say thanks to them for doing such a great job!!!!! The stage setup is crazy.. those lights must have been at least $500,000.
Hope you enjoyed your birthday, Yauch! : ) I enjoyed it with you!
I'll be there tonight again, but it's going to be hard to top last nights show! : )
Thanks for doing Jimmy James... Never seen that one live and that was sooooooo GREAT!!!!

Totally agree. The killed it last night at the opera house. Many thanks to Ja Ma J for getting me in and to the "get on the dvd" guy (whose name is alluding me) for hooking me up with the ticket upgrade. These Gala Events are f'n legendary- the vibe was so crazy, everyone was going mad the whole show. The sound was sick in the opera house.
The boys started off the night with "son of neckbone" my favorite of the old school instrumentals. Totally started the party out right for me and set me into high gear for the night. I can't remember the exact set list right now- I'm sure someone will post it soon. Highlights for me included SON and Jimmi James/Happy Birthday (where everyone sang- I'm wishing YAUCH a happy birthday), everyone coming on stage and Yauch's daughter(I think) leading the crowd in singing happy birthday to Yauch before the encore. Also seeing the live so whatcha want with MMM comming out front to play the main organ loop on adrocks tiny casio was amazing- I have been excited about that since I first heard it was happening. It did not disappoint, shit was stellar.
I said this after I saw the Sasquatch shows two months ago and had sort of forgotten(otherwise no way I miss the AC show $100 tix be dammed)- The Gala Event shows are amazing, I was completely blown away by how good these shows are- Just as the Wookie stage show was amazing and blew away a totally great regular set the next night at Sasquatch The Boston Gala Event was in a totally different stratosphere then the Philly show I saw last week. On one hand it seems very kind and considerate of the boys to be recognizing they have fans all along the spectrum from extremely casual to obsessive (most talking bout myself- not pointing any fingers here!) I just feel like they have entered this incredibly prolific extremely creative period of late and are committing to creating tight shows that are game redefining (for guys who are old hat at changing the game this is really saying something!). To me the other shows (WARNING: mild blasphemy coming) are sort of a waste. There I said it. The Gala events are SO F'n amazing I don't really understand why this isn't just a tour of those. While I am extremely happy that they are out touring and doing both kinds of shows- I just really think these Gala events are capturing the boys at a creative and artistic (in terms of how tight they are right now) zenith and are not to be missed. Fuckin legendary. I'm so amped for the three shows in NYC next week- but I'm really psyched the 3 day homestand is gonna end with another Gala show. Amazing.

I went to both the Gala and the Pavillion show in boston... both were awsome...
but i think my favorite of the two was the Gala... i really had fun. I unfortunatly got seperate seats from my two friends but once i got to my seat it didnt matter. i was in the balcony right in the middle perfect view of the stage. The Boys put on a great show i was really impressed!
Great way to break in my brand new suit!

Yes, people were definitely dressed to impress : )
Tonight at the Pavilion was a very fun and different experience than last night. Lots of more rap, but still a good amount of instrumental music. Those lights they have are really amazing... they do some cool stuff. MMM put on a cool crazy robot looking light up mask for Intergalactic.. it was really funny. Mike looked great in his sailor suit, and Adrock had a new suit on that I guess he bought today in Boston. He looked very nice also!!!
: ) I was 4th row after GA, so I had a great view the whole time. They didn't come on til 8:30, and were done about 10:15. All in all great show!
THANKS AGAIN!!
Thanks to the guy who didn't sit in his seat at the Opera House. In fact, I sat in his seat. I originally had a seat in the last row of the balcony but when I got there, I sat in the first and was never asked to leave. Took some pictures and video with the phone. I wish I had a real camera.

The security in the Opera House knew how to handle this crowd and I applaud them for their kindness.
The security the next night at the Bank of America Pavilion can eat a big fat deeeeeiiiicckk!! Assholes....
