wow... just got in from the show... the BBoys rocked the place tonight. man that show was great... just great.

the crowd was super into it and made it that much better. really good mix of new and old and all the stand-byes.

No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn was a nice treat. was surprised no Paul Revere though... being Boston and all.

was really hoping to hear Hello Brooklyn, Maestro, Brass Monkey and as a long shot Live At PJ's... and they hit 'em all.

after 9 years without seeing the boys live this was perfect.

thanks to the whole Beastie Boy team. (y)

That show was amazing!! Very fun! Yauch's daughter was sitting right behind me with I THINK Mike D's daughter, but don't quote me on that. Two little cutie pies dancing and having the time of their lives.

OK then, that is why I said don't quote me on that! LOL Maybe it was her cousin, whoever it was they were so damn cute together dancing and clapping and the birthday dedication was one of theirs..

yeah pink tie, I was standing with him before doors opened but never got his name, good guy it seemed like the boys were expecting him to be there.

Diamond: "This one is dedicated to the dude who came up to me as I was leaving after last night's show and said "Yo why don't you guys bust out No Sleep Til Brooklyn?"
Damn. All my years I'd never seen them rock that one live. Thanks for that Mike D pic, Casey. He was in fine form - anyone asking me today how the show was, I'm just sending them that pic.

Too bad I can't go to all their shows... cause I definately would if I could, if I had the time and money. Been to all the TFC though, back in the day. any who, the show was great.. Adam and Mike keep the show hopping, still. Yauch, in the background doing his thing... I was representing Switzerland with the lederhosen last night as Nathaniel Hornblower. Yauch saw me in the front row smiled and winked.. probably the most emotion he expressed all night, but he is like that.. laid back..

I know they were dying in those suits cause I was...

You looked great - seeing the lederhosen being rocked as I walked around the venue pre-show was a nice start to the evening. (y)

Show was no doubt hype!!

Probably best 2 times i've ever seen them!! Better than Coachella and a couple yeti hairs better then Sasquatch fest, and past Worcester shows.

Here's a couple pics I took. I also have the MMM intro I'll up soon:

They DID do "Hello Brooklyn"....

I saw Springa (from SSD) walk out from backstage. I thought maybe he would have gotten on stage with them to do "Egg Raid on Mojo" or something..

review from Boston.com: http://www.boston.com/ae/music/articles/2007/08/08/beastie_boys_throw_a_playful_rockin_party_under_th e_pavilion_tent/

by the way, the guy that rushed the staged and was up there for a couple seconds got a nice bum's-rush from security. then another drunk old dude tried the same thing but couldn't make the leap up the stage and smashed chest first into it. :D

The only song I notice missing from that setlist is Shambala...not sure where it fits in there.

The show was amazing. What a great all around performance. The instrumental aspect of the show was really tight...money mark was out of his mind up there!
Loved the boys ending with a crazy high energy Sabotage. Even the music playing as people were leaving was a great night cap. What was that song anyway? was it one of the beastie boys instrumental tunes? it came one almost immeadiately after the show ended...Anyone know?

Cheers

YES! Two of us were in the front, shouting at AdRock to do Paul Revere,
as it is Boston and all! That was right around the time that idiot screamed
for them to do Triple Trouble...again!

Awesome show, though! Best yet for me!

(y)LOVED IT(y)

Mike D really loved the harbor huh?

I totally got this image of him on some cheesy yacht 'claiming' the harbor and trying to.. I don't know - like outclass the coast guard and harbor patrol who are all crazy Homeland Security geared up and shit, and he's sipping white wine and 'claiming' the harbor like some pimp pirate. :p

The show was badass, and the 'Calder' light show was dope - it fit with the retro-analog vibe.

BTW, I was the guy who requested Sabotage.

the show was sick! i was lucky enough to be in the very front row dead center of the stage. still makes me very happy. i was psyched to hear everything, especially the old stuff. i do find it odd that they played paul revere at some of the other shows, but not it boston. doens't make much sense to me. oh well, maybe next time. i hope they come back again soon!
