What a show. I was blown away. I thought they were going to play songs from The Mix-Up, they played only one, I wanted to hear more. But don't get me wrong, that show was F..ing amazing.

yup, sure was. Exceeded all my expectations.
Mark on the Bus?..are you kidding me. did anyone think when that song came out they would ever see it live? same with Live at PJ's.
wish they would have taken that setbreak to extend the show a bit longer...but it was nice to see them loose for Adam's B-day.
The sound and the lights were worth the ticket alone. Nice job on the boards boys....very loud and CRISP...at least from where i was.
Feel real bad for all the wannabees that blew off the show cause it was "instrumental"...feel real bad.

Security at the Pavilion were a bunch of assholes.. Just sayin'..
Forgot to mention, I have some video footage taken from the monitor at this show. It is pretty lousy and the sound is horrible but if someone wants to post them here, send me your e-mail address and I will send them over.
I shot stuff for "Time For Livin'" (It's time.. to set my mutha fuckin' tea party straight" haha!!) "Tough Guy", "Hello Brooklyn" with begining of "Pass the Mic", and "Sure Shot"..

The Pavillon show was great as was the Opera House the Sunday night before. I drove down from Whitby Ontario just outside of Toronto, where the true Beastie Boy fans are at, and saw both shows. Absolutely no dissappointment. There energy was the same as when they were in their early twenties with Licensed to Ill. Ad Rock is a joker and Mike D is the ring leader and MCA just does his thing in the background. I could have sworn I was sitting close to Adam Yauch's parents because they looked just like him and why are 65 year olds watching a Beastie's concert and it was his birthday the night before...they were just a little too far to go and ask, whatever. Mike D and his captain's outfit was funny but I think they could change the outfits a bit like mix it up a la trackksuits or whatever. Mike was the most vocal and he nailed it when they sang Check It Out as he stopped the song half way through on "...FRESH attire" and requested that the entire audience say the "SSSHHH" in " FRESH " as the pavillon was silent with no music. Then after about a minute Mix Master Mike dropped the beat and the audience sang "FRESSSHHH" and Mike sang "attire, make your head spin around and set your pants on FIRE, set the town ABLAZE and everyone will be AMAZED..." Nothing but nastiness and goosebumps the entire show. The whole audience sang No Sleep Til' Brooklyn and they mixed up the songs and took requests too. Ad Rock was cool and interacted with everyone in the front row. Since the concert I've had dreams of going on tour with them as their roadie and being in a small conference room for a personal concert with twenty other people, whatever.
Someone complained about the unfriendly security at the event and I had no complaints. I was ten rows back of the general admission area and I routinely saw come in front of me and tell people not to stand on the chairs so that others could see. No problem and that's their job because I want to see the concert and not three or four stoned ass buddies falling all over the seats in front of me which was occurring at the end of the night. Security has to do whatever is necessary for the safety and enjoyment of the mature fans and the band...how did the big guy get up on the stage three quarters of the way through the show? What if he tackled MCA because he was right next to him doing the Bushwacker dance? Safety first.
I'm going to the ACC in Toronto September 21st where the, guess what, real Beastie Boys fans reside.
