the longest you've ever been on hold on the phone?

Today I was on hold with the state of california for a combined time of nearly ONE HOUR. (combined meaning after 30 minutes I was disconnected and had to call back where i waited another 20 minutes, giving me a total of 50 minutes on hold. I rounded these numbers so it was probably even a little longer.)

I NEVER got to talk to one live human being the entire time. that's what i was waiting on hold for...to talk to a person. after an hour I gave up.

About an hour for me. I was waiting to talk to someone from dell since I fried my motherboard with static electricity. Not your normal way...just by touching the mouse. There was a Emperor Force Lightning size of a bolt...and boom, fried motherboard.

30 mins at best I think when my uncle woke me up on the phone one night and promised me he would buy me a new Mustang if I would be willing to drive all the way to Alameda; I declined it though later on I found out he was really serious...
