A device in a car that somehow senses when the keys are in the car, but no human is, and it makes sure the doors stay unlocked, even if the engine is off.
My Toyota Highlander will not lock the doors until I do it with my keychain button. I used to lock my keys in the car all the time with my old hooptie but not anymore.

My car has this annoying feature where it will automatically lock all the doors after the car has been started for about a minute. It's really annoying for any incoming passengers because I forget that all the doors are locked.

yeah that popcorn button sucks. now the 30 second + button is something to talk about.
If the popcorn button causes your Orville Redenbacher to burn try to push it again. My popcorn button has 2 settings. The 2nd push of the button pops the corn all fluffy and flavorful.
