I went and saw Gotye tonight, and since gotye himself put me on the door, (since I missed out on a ticket before they sold out) he failed to add a +1 to my name.

Hanging out with yourself sucks. All it did was made me depressed that I had no one to talk to. I tried talking to people, it failed miserably. Confirmed my suspicions that I'm just a complete loser.


Gotye was really good though, great show. Sucks that it was overridden by my utter suckiness.

nah,I was here 2 months ago when it took off but I was busy getting drunk somewhere.I have no clue when I'll be visiting Aussie again at this stage

I totally understand that. I hate going anywhere alone (even if it's only to the supermarket). And it's not only because you have no one to talk to wherever you go, but also, because you have no one to talk about what you did/saw afterwards. A friend of mine even goes on vacations on her own for several weeks. I'd never do that...

you go to big things on your own, BDO, massive concerts where people are moshing and where you'd lose the people you're with anyway.

i'd have trouble at a gotye gig... i bet there were lots of smoochy couples there too.

gotye sounds like a top guy. my friend showed up to his gig late and missed him perform, but saw him and he chatted to her for a while and signed some stuff from her and even sent her an email. i figured it was cos she's cute, but if he did you a favour too then he must just be one fucking cool dude (y)

He is a rad dude. I found out his personal email and emailed him one day, and surprise surprise, he emailed back. So we exchanged a few emails and I mentioned to him that I wouldnt be able to catch up with him for a beer as the show sold out, so he wrote back that he would put me on the door.

I was gunna hang around and see if I could talk to him after the show but there were so many people there that I didnt think id have a chance, but later I found out some chick I know thru myspace hung around and had a good chat with him. I was spewin. I wrote him another email but he hasnt written back as yet. :(
