Another epic show guys! Too bad more people didn't honor the "DRESS TO IMPRESS" printed right on the tickets. It was fun to overdress to an event that usually doesn't require or request this kind of attire. I'm a carpenter so i rarely wear a suit, I even bought a new suit just for this event.
For those who did come proper...I give props. For those who thought it was silly or they're too cool, they shudda just stayed home.
Which brings me to my title, "Mustache Man". When Adrock called out towards the end of the show, he said, "Can we get a spotlight on my man with the fake beard and mustache?" Then the crowd held him up, and he graciously blew kisses to the crowd. Adrock then said, "It IS a gala event...my man came dressed to impress...thanks man".
Which is exactly my point, it was a goof, something different from the norm, fun. I went to that show with that guy with the mustache, it's one of my best friends, Noel. We had so much fun goofin on others in the crowd, outside the show and on the way to the show. It was one of the BEST times I've had in a while.
So, in short, next time an event like this happens, (if it ever does again) don't ignore it, or blow it off... participate in it, you might just have the time of your life!
Thanks again Beastie Boys and people of NY who showed up proper, YOU MAKE IT HAPPEN! :D(y)

Yeah, except some people may have wanted to dress up, but they may not own any dressy clothes, and after having to buy ebay tickets, a hotel room, and the cost of driving from NC to NY, they may not have been able to spend the extra money on a snazzy outfit.
Just sayin, don't automatically get pissed at someone who didn't dress up. I totally wanted to, but didn't really have the means.

well hell, if i knew who you were and that you lived in VA beach and that you wanted to go, i would have. i think it would not have been all that out of the way for me. and then there would have been an extra person to pay for various tolls/parking. sorry about that... man (?)

well, your situation was different, and i give you props for making the trek. some people there were hatin, though, no doubt. if you weren't one of "them", just be glad you there to experience it. no matter how you were dressed, that's all i'm saying, don't hate.

haha, sorry. the anger was a joke. the story is true though. i did feel kinda bad about not dressin' to impress.
yeah some people there obviously didn't know what they were getting into and were upset with it. i feel sorry for anyone that couldn't throrougly enjoy the show. even the real mellow stuff that i think a lot of people didn't get into, it was nice to lean back in my seat and close my eyes and feel the bass all up in my insides.
hopefully someday i'll get to go to another show, and next time i definetly gotta spring for a better spot. i need to get up front. preferably alone, so that i cannot embarass myself in front of people i know.

and it was fun as hell. i recommend doing it, play along, get a litte silly for a night.
and if you don't have the means, scrape together some bucks and hit a thrift store. get creative, people...
and when i saw your boy sporting the fu-man chu, i was very happy. he got it... i helped lift him up...
