does anybody know how to completely remove the "relationship status" part of myspace? It's kind of freaking me out that mine says "single", but I'm not really single, but clicking "in a relationship" is so...official. and I might puke.
I've seen some pages with no status, so I'm pretty sure it's possible. halp meh plase.
Its pretty easy. Just delete your myspace account. No more worries.

You realize how silly you're being?

why am I being silly? I don't think I'm being silly. some of my girlfriends in real life are like "hey, how come your status is set to 'single' on myspace?!" and I'm like, "meh, his still says 'single'". but I'd kind of like to stop getting messages from creeps (some bots?) asking me out. or semi-flirtatious comments from dudes I know.
we've had the boyfriend/girlfriend talk. (if you count him saying "am I your boyfriend?" in the middle of the night when I'm half-asleep and me saying "I dunno, am I your girlfriend? why you ask me this when I'm so sleepins?" and then he says, "yeah, I mean, that seems to be what's happening", a talk). but we're both afraid of committment, so it's kind of funny.
I'm just saying if it weren't there at all, people would probably just assume I had something romantic going on, but wouldn't be for sure. meh
ROCK! no deleting. how am I supposed to get my ego stroked by friends and aquaintances if I have no myspace!?

...I think it's best to not give a care...it's just some status...yeah, sure you might get creepy ass messages or whatever but...maybe you should tell your friends to not give a shit about MySpace? Or like, tell them "Who gives a fuck?"

hey man, I don't care that much. I'm just asking if there's a way to remove it. I thought maybe someone might know. geez.
I've been getting the "relationship status" questioning for like 3 months now and I just let it roll. I'm not like "OMG OMG OMG OMG I HAVE TO DEFINE MY RELATIONSHIP".
I pretty much just want the option to not have to define it. I don't see what's so silly about that. they could at least just have "seeing someone" on there. that's more open.

according to the media, you're far too middle class and educated to be on myspace. facebook is where you need to be.

its interesting, for the sexual orientation section there is a "no answer" choice, for those who dont want people to know that they are gay...
but there is no "no answer" choice for relationship status...they pigeonhole you into saying something, anything...

if i saw someone that had nothing for relationship status i'd probably assume they were single anyway, so really you're no better off

nah, if I saw somebody that had no status, I'd just assume they probably had something going on, perhaps some romance brewing. where they are seeing someone, but not necessarily in a relationship. I am in a relationship...but having to declare it for all to see is just a little oppressive. but whatever, assume what you want. you seem to have all the answers.
bboy20, it's just girl stuff. girls like to talk about boys. they're not mad or yelling, they're just excited. people are excited about us because we were friends for 5 years, so it's like a romantic comedy or something. gross. we went to a wedding the weekend before last with a bunch of friends and drunk people kept telling us how adorable we were. :o I think it's also because we're both a little chubby and about the same height and we have great hair. ;)
I hate facebook. there are too many things going on there, and it tells every single thing that everyone does. it's annoying looking and I hate it. also I don't like how it displays first and last names. it's too much! (I know you can change it, I'm just sayin').
thanks for understanding, remy. that's all I mean.

Actually, what's funny that one time I was biking down a park path and I notice 3 teenage girls we're walking and then up ahead their was this musclear guy jogging so he passed them and just as I past the girls, they we're like all oggling about him like "my god he is so hott" and all that shit. What surprised me is the way teenage girls would talk since I always assume that kind of preppy stuff exist in the movies or TV or whatever but it seems they really do.
As for hair...oh I guess girls really do like to compliment their own hair. =/

yep another vote for silly.
my ex and i both had our statuses set to single for the 8 months we were together (and on myspace). i saw his page recently and noticed that it is now "in a relationship". it crushed me that i was never considered enough of a gf for him to change his status for me. stupid status. i hate status.
i like on facebook how you can have "its complicated"
mine says single but im seeing a guy
i dont plan on changing it, unless he changes his
i like to call this "relationship status standoff"

I never put an answer in the orientation one. It's a stupid thing to ask anyway.
