View Full Version : I don't think I've blushed so hard in my life

I don't know why I'm sharing. I think it's a mix of being kind of excited and feeling like an idiot.

So, I know the incredibly good looking, sweaty, dirty mechanic working on your car is a cool fantasy and all but that's what it is, fantasy. Most men who have worked remind me of slightly altered versions of Mr. Magoo.

But this morning, the mechanic who checked my tires and the squeal my car is making when it starts (the alternator belt, figures)... was one of the most gorgeous men I've ever seen. And he I could barely comprehend what he was saying I was just kinda ga-ga. Though my friend said I played it off well.

I drive a REALLY shit car (91 geo metro, 3 cyls ahaha) and he said to me "What is a beautiful girl doing driving this car?"

And I blushed :o I turned SO red. I'm talking tomato red. I almost never blush. I think it was because I found him so incredibly attractive. I'm a nerd :(
but!
He wants to take me to dinner.

score.

....well...if you are now on a date, their's nothing but compliments to say.

I'm pretty sure being a nerd doesn't matter when you don't look like one.

I'm pretty sure the "noble" kind of male would blush (Usually on the inside) when they first meet or see you.

Wanna trade cars? I have a 98 ford escort zx2, and i very much miss my dear old beloved 90 geo metro. best car ever.

Despite it being a crap car, I have an odd attachment to it. And I get a lot of compliments on it, actually. I don't understand it really but hey, whatever.

Replacing two tires with new ones only cost me $110 bucks.
That's nothing.

i got my car for $400, it was red and primer and covered with orange bondo, it didnt have carpet or any of the interior plastic or a headliner. i spray painted it green, took out the seats and put in outdoor carpet from lowes, and got the rest of the stuff from the junk yard. it was awesome. yeah, my car was custom. ghetto, but custom. i got picked on like crazy at school for it, but i loved it.

i actually wanted to get another metro, but my mom was all "you need to get a reliable car nag nag nag" so i ended up getting a car that i dont like at all to make her happy (she was helping to pay for a good deal of it, so it wasn't really up to me). i dont like my stupid big car with my stupid automatic transmission and my stupid 28mpg.

how many do you get? i got about 45mpg with the metro, and that was in bad shape. ive heard over greater than 50.

The lady who changed my oil last week looked like a gayer Melissa Etheridge and she literally forced me to spend the extra thirteen bucks on an oil upgrade by saying "You might die if you don't pick the right oil"

I'm not arguing with a gritty lesbian.

My car isn't really at peak so I'm getting about 35 right now. It could be better but I don't think it's worth fixing up quite yet. Especially considering the car isn't worth very much anyway.

also, gritty lesbians aren't to be trifled with.

Its even worse that no matter how much a lil man "Chopo" is she still gotta make me a sandwitch

Speaking of blushing, an old Bio teacher of mine exclaimed one day that Jersey cows had the prettiest eyes in the world. He said he loved their long lashes, and big brown eyes. He then added that when he was our age (14-15) he would stop by the butcher on the way home, buy some whole liver and heat it up at home and proceed to (his words) "Wrap it round my old fella and Go for Gold".

it's kind of ironic that the game is called "getting up" because one of the most annoying things about it is that when you get knocked down you take forfuckingever to get back up.

lots of people call me a nerd. Mostly those who know me and/or get to know me.

Or maybe I should be called a dork? Geek or nerd constitutes the smarty pants type people right? Whereas dorks are just socially awkward and/or be in to the star wars/movies of a similar vein/comic books/video game thing, right?

that kind of thing is an everyday occurrence for me and so friends end up calling me a nerd.

...back to Giovanni Ribisi:

It's a good game, though rent it first; available for Xbox, PS2, and PC.

My bad. I didn't read "playing" as "playing," I read it as "playing a movie in my movie player device," and I thought it was some movie I'd never heard of.

What's kind of funny is I was picking up a movie yesterday at bmmrmgmumph and the promo was doing a feature on Ribisi, saying something about how audiences swoon over his "soulful" portrayals or something. I laughed out loud.

I mean, the guy's okay, but he just looks and seems like a whispery anemic rat to me. Like Ed Norton's just-leeched, less-talented second cousin or something. I don't get it.

i only read the first page,

but good looking mechanics get a whole lot of ass. the not-too-intelligent good looking mechanics probably get all types of it. make sure you closely inspect (wink wink) the goods for any "chips or dings" before doing anything you might regret later. mechanics aren't known for their good hygiene, IF you know what i mean. not at all sayin that reflects anything about you. not sayin this guy is necessarily that type, just sayin.

but yeah, you're not a nerd and you're completely hot, and you know you are and you should not be surprised or blushing or taken aback. shit, at least get an extra cylinder in your metro out of it or something

Why sleazy? How else do people meet and start talking? Its not like we're talking about a bartender here she met while she was trashed and dressed like for the club.

Its a first date, get to know you thing. I think its pretty normal.

Anyway, have fun and I agree that the hot mechanic is an amazing fantasy.

Btw, I love Giovanni Ribisi.

What he said seemed sleazy. I guess if it was me, I'd be wary of someone so spontaneously forward and self confident. She's going about this in a decent way, but I'd probably think I wouldn't like him, if I was in her place. I mean, it's just my opinion. I've never had a greasy mechanic fantasy. And, I never meant to say that sleazy was abnormal.
