also...i seemed to get a lot of blurry shots. if you notice my pics from a show in 04 at http://entertainment.webshots.com/album/556281065EUboNN , my shots seemed to be much clearer on the whole.

i have a new camera since then. maybe i'm not operating it to its full potential. any suggestions for shooting in a concert (dark/action) situation?

Take it off automatic and jack the ISO level way up. If you can't do that, your only tool is a steady hand and try to capture it when they're not moving.
