The mysterious man in black who toasts Poe is revealed.
The 92 year old man could have passed it on but he decided to ruin a very cool tradition.

Yeah, maybe. Supposedly his story's pretty inconsistent, though.

But, yeah. It was cool while it lasted.

The museum curator seemed to be upset about his revelation. 1st deepthroat now this guy. What is it with old people? They have to blow the whistle before they are pushing up daisies.

Speaking of Poe. We need a good Poe movie. Gary Oldman can play Poe.

Remember when, for years, there was a Poe movie in development and Michael Jackson was going to play EA?

That was nuts.

No but I am glad that fell thru the cracks.

I think someone should work up a good script. Poe was a fascinating, eccentric, brilliant and creative man. But instead Hollywood is working on a remake of Lost Boys.

I know, like, *this* much about his bio -- probably two pages' worth -- so I can't see a movie about him just because of my own limitations. It sounded like he lived a pretty miserable life, from what I know.

But I'd love to do a short film based on "The Cask of Amontilado" (sp?). That's one of my favorite stories of his.

Man, he could write. He could really write. (y)

..how about Jonathan Pryce?

That is the reason why they probably have not gone forward with a project. People would rather watch Wild Hogs. I love dark films. Poe is a very compelling man. He would have smoked his own shoelaces if they got him high. He married his cousin Eliza who was very young. He always wrote back to Richmond from Baltimore asking his adoptive parents for money. He died on a gutter in a public street.

They made a decent film about Basquiat. Why not a legend like Poe?

Jonathan Pryce is too old. Edgar Allen Poe died quite young.

There is a good Poe Museum here in Richmond and my watering hole used to be Poe's Pub. I stopped in for a beer a couple of weeks ago.

...wait a second. "Quite young."

Jonathan Pryce is too old, but not Gary Oldman!?

gary youngman, maybe?

Write the script then we will work on casting.

Gary Oldman is too old now but he would have been my choice.

I am sure we can find an actor in their early 20s with a twisted soul.

That Gordon-Levitt guy.

Typecasting?

Yeti

I just saw him in The Lookout. He was good but not good enough for EA Poe.

one of those culkin kids?

Yeti

Maybe the younger one (Ciaran?) but Mac would make me think of Home Alone.

Is Joaqiun Phoenix too old?

Which Culkin was in You Can Count on Me and also Mean Creek? That one's good.

Rory. I forgot Rory. Is there a Ciaran?

I didn't look it up.

How old are we talking?

Jamie Bell was good in Undertow.

Too bad Robert Downey Jr. aged. :(

Yeti

Wow, he died at 40. He looked older so I am back with Gary Oldman. We will need a younger Poe.

Kieran is correct and Rory was also in the film. I think the name can also be spelled Ciaran. My bad.

They are harder to keep track of than the Baldwin brothers.

true story, i didn't know until about a week ago that animal mother in full metal jacket was a baldwin. i've seen that movie like 10 times and i never figured that out until just now.

i don't know how i feel about that

Is Adam Baldwin a real Baldwin? He doesn't even look like the other brothers.

Vincent D'Onferirerro is hard to recognize in that, too.

I just looked up Adam on Wiki.

While actor Adam Baldwin is not related to the Baldwin brothers, a cousin of the Baldwins, Joseph Michael D'Albora, a fledgling actor, goes by the film name "Joseph Baldwin".

You can feel better now.

that's actually the main reason i didn't know he was a baldwin (edit: oh phew)

Vincent D'Onferirerro is hard to recognize in that, too.

that's actually the only thing i've ever seen him in. i probably wouldn't recognize him in anything else. maybe i HAVE seen him in something else then...

though there is a guy in one of my classes that looks a little like him. not full metal jacket d'oreo, just normal every day d'snorklio. as far as i know...io

it must be very easy for people named "baldwin" to get work in hollywood.

"oh you're a baldwin?"

"yes...yes i am...a...baldwin"

i doubt anyone double-checks. in fact i'm willing to bet that that's why there's so many baldwin brothers out there. i bet half of them are faking

Very true. Never go against the family.

Emilio Estevez shunned the Sheen name and he has paid the price. Nicolas Cage shunned the Coppola and he is making movies like Ghostrider.
