Granted, Red Rocks is a beautiful venue and acoustically as awesome as it is visually. However I suppose I have become jaded from being there almost everyday this summer working. Don't get me wrong it's a fun and unique experience but you know how work goes! However tonight was something else. As I sat in row 26 looking at the stage I saw it not in the way I always saw the place one long night of messy cleanup but the glory it was before I had ever worked here and just came for what everyone else came for.

The opening DJ, was alright it was too light and not enough people in their seats to really get going but he did play some great beats. the 15 minutes between his set and the Beasties seemed like decades.

Their stage setup was amazing! There was a mobile with digital screens that was just... well awesome! I wish I could sit there and go back and tell you every song as it went but I would never remember them all. Plus it was probably the same or about the same as you have been hearing from any other show. Their encore rocked and the crowd seemed really pumped and excited the whole show. Really the show was so good and I wish I could tell you more but I just, can't describe it well enough for justice.

After the show me and my BF retreated backstage. Not with passes but because we clean backstage. We usually have to wait for the crowd to clear so we can start cleaning. So we chatted up some people in the catering room. A woman who's son plays with Mike's son talked to us, she was really nice. I wish I had caught her name. Soon all the after show guests were filling up the catering room and security shooed us cleaning people out, which I expected, we were just sitting waiting to start work. Which we had to do at that time anyway. I saw Money Mark chatting with some people before we left.

The rest of the night went as usual I caught a couple of glimpses of Mike D and Yauch in the catering room which was pretty cool. It was all I expected anyway cause we aren't supposed to talk to any of the bands.

The real highlight of my night was when I was waiting for the other people we clean with to finish some stuff up and then out the backstage door there comes the Beasties and crew loading into some SUVS to go back to their hotel. Some guy tried to run up to them to get them to sign his shirt but their bodyguard shooed him off. Unexpectedly as the crew drove off someone honked the horn I am not sure at us or what but I waved at Adrock and then MCA waved at my BF. It made my night that they were nice enough guys to wave to us cleaning people haha.

BTW if you guys read this your show was great as I am sure you've heard more times than you can count but truly I have respect to you guys as you seem like the real deal. We are used to being snubbed and such by bands that come through here (granted not all) but I truly had a wonderful evening and look forward to tomorrow at the Filmore. Yay! I don't work after that show but I wouldn't trade tonight for anything. Also thank you for not destroying the dressing rooms! You should see the mess some people leave! But hey leave me something not just soysauce and old chinese food =) Haha j/k. Also sorry we didn't find what that guy lost in the dressing room. I hope he finds it.

The night was awesome even though it was just another night at Red Rocks!!
