From the shelves of Wal-Mart nonetheless, seriously this is becoming epidemic

So why is China sending so much tainted stuff to America and other countries?

Because cheap ass corporations send their business over there and expect quality?!?!? (n)

Something needs to be done, but try to boycott MADE IN CHINA the best you can......it is virtually impossible

Death to dogs.....again (http://www.itchmo.com/wal-mart-removes-bestro-chicken-jerky-strips-after-dog-death-2321)

Please add other discoveries to the list

Wal-Mart has quietly pulled the made in China dog treat from its stores named Bestro Chicken Jerky Strips. There has been no announcement to the public as of yet. It is also uncertain of how many tainted bags of treats there may still be out among consumers.

My wife is a journalist who covers everything related to Chinese relations, being from stateside to overseas. I'm not sure if she's covered these issues of not but, if she hasn't then you've just made an interesting story for her to work on.

Don't look at the symptoms. Look at the cause. We need to take this straight to the source.

And the recalls continue...

More children's toys manufactured in China are being recalled because they contain unsafe levels of lead, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Wednesday.

FUCK CHINA and fuck the corporations who are allowing this shit to happen

It's like we're trading with our worst enemy on the honor plan, we'll let your exploited labor make and build toys in an unregulated sweatshop for our dying economy.

This is in the hopes of #1 Our Corporation Makes $$$.
And of course #2....uh, lets see, uh gee. What is #2? Some sort of free trade balance thats suppose to benefit, lets see? #2 More Corporate Profits!!!

So far this WTO has really been great for the Corporations.

Yeah! What cause this ? Maybe this neo-liberalism project. This suppose free-trade. Who is to blame here? China? or the corporations ( those ones have no nation by the way)?

Country don't have the choice but to bend over with this international economy, free market or else they die. So they use what they have to survive, it happen that china and Asia in general, do copulate a lot: cheap labor, can you blame them to use it? Of course you can but that would not bring a solution or even put light on how this has become. Who instigate this ambiance of international competition over mass production? The foundation of our international relations and the base of this neo-capitalist has to be destroy but it is possible?

Yeah - China has a totally different view of acceptable business practices.

My dad is an mechanical engineer working for a major auto company. They requested a bunch of tires for testing from one of their Chinese vendors. When they tested the tires in a bunch of different areas, they all fell way under acceptable specs.

They asked what the deal was, and the chinese company responded with surprise asking if they'd tested all the tires in certain areas. As it turns out, the chinese company had only sent tires that made the cut in certain areas (like turning, traction, uh...composition, I don't know). In other words, they hadn't counted on us randomizing which tire was used for which test.

Totally shady. All products coming from China have a different level of integrity that they try to meet. Unfortunately, it's becoming un-economic for us to use only American made products...so there's no real easy solution on the horizon.

Oooh burn.

I wonder if the free market really would have an effect on it. Cheaper goods that consistently fail consumer expectations might end up being more costly with recalls etc.

Once again another Toy (Aqua Dots or Bindeez) is pulled due to poisoning by.....GHB!?!

http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,22727727-2,00.html

All Aqua Dots toys were being pulled from shelves Wednesday evening after it was discovered that it contains a chemical that converts into the date rape drug GHB if swallowed.

Two children in the United States and three in Australia were hospitalized after swallowing the beads.

Other toys being recalled listed in that article as well.

Someone up on the Hill needs to call out the toy companies, China, the manufacturers, and those making these nefarious contracts finding cheap labor and production.

I hope parents are being extra vigilante when it comes to purchasing their toys for their children. This is seriously becoming an epidemic.

Here's a toy recall site...I doubt it covers everything though

All of these poison Chinese imported toys are sort of like that candy democracy we're exporting over there in the middle east.

I went into Wal-Mart to get some stuff for a school Halloween party, it was the first time in 10 years I'd been in one. Fuck I could not care less what the items we bought cost, I had a gift certificate given to me by the school and just said fuck it, I bought 10 boxes of corndogs and went as fast as I could out of the parking lot.

That Wal Mart freaks my ass out. It has shit appeal written all over it. It's wrong and bad, right from the retard greeting you at the door.

Hillary Rodham Clinton served on the Board of Directors for Wal Mart, 1986 to 1992

Clinton served on the boards of the Arkansas Children's Hospital Legal Services (1988–1992)and the Children's Defense Fund (as chair, 1986–1992). In addition to her positions with non-profit organizations, she also held positions on the corporate board of directors of TCBY (1985–1992),Wal-Mart Stores (1986–1992) and Lafarge (1990–1992).TCBY and Wal-Mart were Arkansas-based companies that were also clients of Rose Law. Clinton was the first female member on Wal-Mart's board, added when chairman Sam Walton was pressured to name one; once there, she pushed successfully for the chain to adopt more environmentally-friendly practices, pushed largely unsuccessfully for more women to be added to the company's management, and was silent about the company's famously anti-labor union practices.

So she's not really what I'd call a democrat. I mean come on, Wal Mart?
