what to wear.. HELP!

first, hi guys! i think i must have been living under a rock for a few years because i've been a beasties fan for a LONG time, but didn't realize they had a frigging forum! :eek: but i'm glad to be here!

anyway, dunno if this question has been asked a gazillion times already, but i've never been to a gala event (i managed to snag a ticket for the show in chicago next month), and they say to dress to impress, but.... what the heck do i wear?! will this be a "lets wear an evening gown" (since i'm a chick) type of event, or a "lets go clubbing!" type of dress code? :confused:
