I thought it was a good show. I already feel like much of it is the same, so I am only really getting excited about the stuff I havent heard live before... The boys seemed pretty good, a few songs had to be restarted, but each time they were restarted MMM kept droppin better beats. Thats what I thought. I was too busy geeking out over meeting Pedro Winters. But it was nice to meet some familiar people over there, Jerome Crooks, Money Mark, TPK...

You sounded bored...only interested in stuff you haven't heard? too busy meeting Pedro? Who's Pedro? The Boys seemed pretty good?

I definitly was a little bit. The guy who created Ed Banger Records was there, Busy P, and that seemed more exciting to me than the show itself. I enjoyed the show, it was def better than the show I saw in Paris, but ya, a little meh.

I guess it's not too late to sell your tix to the other Cali shows. Bored with the Beasties...tsk tsk tsk. You're in danger of losing Canada's biggest BBoy fan title!

Well for the record, I enjoyed it to the fullest. Yes, it did have a lot of the same old faire, but I don't know, that's what they are doin this tour. Any moment with the Beastie Boys is special to me. TPK got some shout outs during the show, something about the hair. We saw Mark cruisin by us out front before the show as well as Jerome, that was cool to give 'em a 'what up'. Tonight's should be more of the same, and that's what I expect, any new switch ups would be a pleasant surprise.

I'm really lookin fwd to the Wiltern tomorrow though, I expect that to be a fun one.

oh shit! I almost forgot, "The Finger" was brought out for "Fresssssssssshhhhhh attire"! Fredo came out on stage with it!

The Gala show was pretty special, but they played more than enough "rare" songs like Shambala during the meathead show that I enjoyed the meathead show more. I also enjoyed the energy of the crowd at the meathead show more than the mellower, less populated gala shows. It was definetly more intimate and I had more interaction with the band at the gala, but I prefer my shit as raw and hardcore as can be.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the show Jenny.

The only three songs in the set that started with the letter 'B' were all played back to back. And sometimes my dog tears up linoleum tiles in the kitchen.

And what disciplinary measures do you take for such behaviour? I certainly hope it isn't the old type linoleum that has asbestos in it!

You know, if I was gonna die tomorrow, I'd wanna go see a "regular" show tonight, not a "Gala Event."

"Regular" is such a shitty description. Isn't there a better name we could come up with?

I like Rob$'s description. The meathead show. It reminds me of Archie Bunker and I think he would appreciate a meathead show...without linoleum tiles.

Hey! I was the first person to come out as a meathead, and now everyone's jumping on the bandwagon! :p

I suspect that Paulb was just tired out. He can't possibly have gotten jaded.

"Dave from Ridley" is the original and King Meathead.
He is the self-proclaimed #1 Beastie Boys fan in the world, not Pootytang.
He's the dude in Pshabi's signature.
You'll have to fight it out with Dave for the title of #1 meathead if you want it Doc.

I can't believe no one got a pic of homeboy, woulda made a great avatar.

You would never guess that I get mouthy when I drink, because I'm so shy and retiring on here. Unfortunately I cannot get my drink on at a meathead show unless I have an assigned seat. My bladder will not allow it. I haven't gotten my drink on at a Beasties show since MSG in 2004, and that's because I could leave my excellent seat after the dog act and during the prom floaty thing/instrumental interlude. Every show I've seen since was GA. :(

The Red Rocks and Greek Theater venues would have been good drinking venues for me. :D

I like Rob$'s description. The meathead show.

It's the Beastie Boys who should be credited for "meathead," not Rob$. They used the word in their newsletter.

What would a "Dingbat" show be like? Hmmm...

Hi all,
I'm a little late to the party here, but I just wanted to share my pics/vids from the show. Let me know if I'm not allowed to post these here and I'll remove them.
Excuse the poor quality - it was our first time using this camera, and for some reason the pics/vids show up better on my computer than online?
Anyways, my friend and I had a blast! We were lucky and upgraded our tix twice so we ended up with great seats. Unfortunately, I had to give up going to the Mon and Tues shows. Friends-who-back-out-on-Beastie-Boys-shows-last-minute suck...
Cheers!
