This is a thread for adventurers!!
Suggest something that you honestly endorse as good or worthwhile, even though it might seem otherwise to the naive.
Salted peanuts in pepsi - drop a few into the bottom of the glass and drink
peanut butter and dill pickle sandwiches - I know a lot of people who like this
Aquamarine (that 2006 movie about the mermaid, starring Emma Roberts and JoJo) - it is really cute, maybe not My Girl or Milk Money cute, but it's cute.

a nice slice of sharp cheddar cheese on top of a steaming hot slice of Apple Pie.
it's not that unusual but I thought it was weird until I tried it and realized it's fabulous.

Orange juice or apple juice on breakfast cereal. Well, most breakfast cereal. Probably not good on the chocolate flavored ones.
I discovered this in college, its bomb.
McDonalds BBQ sauce on Thomas English Muffins. That shit is soooo good.
Metallica before they had the black album. No, seriously.

Find out if one of your local churches or community centers has a bingo night. Take a friend and go play. It's totally fun!

yes, this really is good.
last night, we had peanut butter on club crackers, and i put chocolate syrup on them. messy, but good. not that adventuresome though, now that i think about it.
watch the rerun of the flava flav roast on comedy central -- it's hilarious (except for brigitte neilsen or however you spell her name, which i refuse to google).

tomato sandwich
my favorite thing to eat in the summer! Probably the only type of sammich I eat in the summer because of all the amazing home grown tomatos. I have it perfected.....toast your bread (PS always toast your bread it's better for digestion) little mayo, 4 slices of tomato...salt / pepper and you are good to go. I add some garlic power and some cheese but it's quite honestly the best simplest sammich ever!

get a book on Buddhism, something which comes at it from a western or agnostic viewpoint or at least an attempt to explain it to a layman. You might be pleasantly surprised.

"Buddhism without Beliefs" by Stephen Batchelor is a good place to start, especially if you are sceptical of religion or otherwise have a hard time with "blind faith". He explains the basic concepts very well and offers some great modern scenarios to relate them to.
Following that, "Buddhism Pure and Simple" by Steve Zagen is pretty good, but can be a bit overwhelming. His attempts to simplify Buddhism and Zen go a bit far, leaving me a bit lost, but having read other things I plan to revisit it.
I'm currently reading "Awakening the Buddha Within" by Lama Surya Das, which Id recommend after you've read one of the above.
So, yeah, probably the first one is the best place to start. And id compliment it by getting a basic Buddhism dummies or Teach Yourself book to get familar with the history/customs of religious Buddhism.
