Ricky Powell interview in this months Juxtapoz (http://www.juxtapoz.com) magazine, Page 114
10 pages long with a nice Beastie Boys 2 page underwater shot in the middle. Too bad it's not a fold out..
This months cover is black and white with a tattooed girl on it. I don't have a scanner or I'd scan it up. Sorry.
A little snippet from the article:
"The story begins and ends with the Beastie Boys. There's a little bit of being a columnist, busboy, bike messenger for Lynn Goldsmith, delivering weed for a puerto Rican drug lord, selling frozade as a street vendor, certified physical education teacher, stray dog walker, hosting a widely praised public television talk show, and carrying an old Minolta around producing some of the most famous street images to ever come out of NYC. But the origins lie on the playgrounds of PS 41, where a younger ADRock caught the attention of Ricky Powell, and the Beastie's ascension to stardom in 1986."
