my friend and I saw Money Mark enter the venue ground on a small little bicycle with a big-ass front wheel and a small back wheel. we said whats up to him and made our way into the venue... Wheel UP!
the show opened up with Off The Grid at around 8:00 PM. I was hoping they would get started by 8:00 because of the noise curfew, as the Bowl is right smack dab in the middle of a residential neighborhood...
they said hello to the crowd and Captain Diamond gave a shout out to the Nautical city of Santa Barbara. they played Gratitude and rocked the County Bowl for the beautiful people as Adrock called them...
the highlights of the concert for me were Super Disco Breakin, An Open Letter to NYC, and No Sleep Till Brooklyn...
I also heard the Sabrosa/Alright Hear This transition that everyone has been talking about, but this time it also included Ch-Check It Out...
they went seamlessly from Sabrosa into Alright Hear This and then had the crowd clap the beat for Ch Check It Out while the band put down their instruments....
Skills To Pay The Bills was also included in the set, as well as Brass Monkey and Time To Get Ill.
MIke D was giving shoutouts to Oxnard, Ventura and "Mali-BOOOOOOO"
He dedicated Brass Monkey to his sons in the audience, and at one point Adrock told Diamond's kids to put on their "earmuffs"
he explained their beautiful drive up the coast earlier in the day, which was the same drive my friend and took, up the 101 to the PCH from LA to Santa Barbara is one of the most scenic routes I have ever driven...
Mix Master Mike was declared the "Award Winning, Belt Having, PCH Driving" turntablist...
the show was a great performance with alot of energy, my favorite so far of three I have seen in the last week...
