View Full Version : Big Day Out 08?
pretty much only relivant to aussies/kiwis here, but... could it?
i mean they pretty much released TT5B same time of the year in '04 and went on to do the next BDO.
they haven't mentioned anything about touring AUS yet with the new material. don't see why not, huh? (well, maybe they have the excuse of 'we just got back from Good Vibes')

I'm not going to see them at another festival. Tough shit for me, I guess.

This is EXACTLY how I feel too! Although I totally understand if they are only playing a festival by you, you know, wanting to go. But for me festivals don't make any sense- I don't want to pay a bunch of money to see people who I don't care about and have the band I do care about play a shorter (and slightly lamer) set. Fuck that shit.(n)

Serious though. I'm not going even if a festival is all we get. Fuck that. The festival vibe itself isn't my thing, and then the band will just play some generic setlist and be out. And the proverbial low-emission plane will be flying waaaay over 90% of the crowds' heads.
I have a free flight to Sydney, which I'd contemplate using if they did a non-festy gig. After all the dumb hate and stuff I've been involved in this community I'm pretty meh about anything Beastie at this moment.
I hope you guys don't have to read my stuff for a while.
well the way i see it is that's all they're gonna do when they come to perth - festivals. i can't see them doing a solo gig here; probably in sydney or melbourne, yeah. i'd love it if they prove me wrong but why would they pull a huge extensive tour to australia for TMU...
i'll take any gig with them i can. everytime i've seen them, i've thought "that's it, i'll never see 'em again" so here's me wishing, huh
