it seems when i have network encryption enabled on my network(wpa-psk), one of the pc's on the network will just randomly loose the ability to connect to the network. it's only able to reconnect when i have go through the trouble of turning off the encryption on both the router and wireless adapter then turning it back on. what the fuck?

set that PC with a static IP. In fact, depending on how many PCs you have set up on the network just set them all to static. We had the same shit happen at our old place.
if that doesnt help, update the routers firmware.

if i use static ip it sets all the things networked to my router to the same ip. when my router detects more than one active devise with the same ip it kicks one of them out. it seems that i can't manually configure my ip with this peticular router. the router seems to configure the ip for each devise networked.

what? Dont change any router settings on static or DHCP...leave that shit as it is with whatever default subnet mask it has, assuming the mask is 255.255.255.0.
Just change the IPs on each machine thru network properties to static.
default gateway 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 right?
