so it's been pretty warm here, relative for San Diego anyway. Most of the places here don't have A/C because in years past there's never really been a need for it.

I think it hit 105 today. And I'm not even inland. Then I went to the beach and it was still a good 95 degrees. It being that hot on the beach is almost unheard of. And the humidity was at least around 80% if not more.

I realize that elsewhere, that's not a big deal. But here? It is. It's night now, and around 85 and I am seriously sitting here with a fan on me and yet sweat is starting to drop off various body parts and I feel disgusting. I don't know how I'm going to get to get any sleep with how stuffy and hot it is right now.

And then when it hits like 50 during our "winter" I whine about being cold.

Growing up in San Diego has made me a climate princess. I don't know how I'm ever going to survive anywhere else. Haha.

You just described my house 4+ months of the year.
I bought a fan although essentially all it does is blow hot hair in my face.
Last summer I survived by spending most of the time with my feet in a bucket of iced water. I'm all class.

i don't get why people like summer, i hate being hot. the not being able to sleep thing is the worst, especially when assholes decide they want to enjoy the warm summer night and stay up outside late into the night talking. then it's too hot to sleep with the windows closed but too loud to leave them open, either way i'm just kind of lying there hating things

like if i'm running or lifting weights or something, then sweating is great

whereas if i'm say, trying to sleep, or waiting for a train, then the sweating needs to stop
