Hello

First, I am french so excuse my poor english...

I really like the Beastie Boys and as I also enjoy other electro or hip hop bands, I made a little mix between two different bands. I think that you know the first one... wich is the Beastie Boys, but only for the lyrics (Right now). The second one is a very popular french electro band called "Le peuple de l'herbe". The translation should be " the people of the grass", I guess ;). This band comes from Lyon, the town where I live.
It could be compared to bands as Wax tailor for example. Not so much lyrics, but some nice samples and great beats.

So, let's meet the french electro with the american hip hop!

I already post this remix in a topic on the "Peuple de l'herbe" website. People seem to appreciate it, so what do you think of it?

Any commentary apreciated!

See you

(sorry for the languages mistakes :))

On the link below you will also find two other remixes involving the Beastie Boys I made, so if you have some time to spend, enjoy!

Yes, I like it too. I'm a French Boy from Grenoble and I hope you'll post other Beastie Mixes.
That's nice to promote such a good French Group.

So let's talk French for technical Problems:
:confused:Effectivement, c'est dommage que les Lyrics ne commencent pas en même temps que la fin de l'intro du peuple de l'herbe. Sinon c'est cool, joli mélange.
J'ai pas mal de samples de groupes Français également dans mes mixes Beastie, peut-être en reconnaitras-tu certains.Salut.

Thanks men! It's nice to have some comments. I think you are both right about the lyrics sarting too soon but I think that it is not very important. It would have been better, it's true, but difficult to manage...

So thanks and merci au grenoblois!

Must be some GOOD ASS grass!! Cool mix...I liked how the first verse was part of the intro.

This kinda sounds like the French HIP HOP version of CHICAGO...crazYYYY

You're English is fine, by the way - better than most Americans

Thanks man!

I went to a french festival called "Les Eurockéennes" a few years ago and I saw Le Peuple de l'herbe, trust me the grass was cool... and obviously the concert too:cool:

My english sounds like "school boy" but I try to learn some cool expressions... peace man, see ya :D

Nice that you like french hip hop. The more I talk about french hip hop, the more I see that this hip hop is very popular all over the world. Is it so different from american hip hop? Perhaps it is more diversified.

The american hip hop bands are very popular in France, but I guess most people on this forum didn't know the Peuple de l'herbe before this little mix. It's cool to promote this band!

so see ya mate;)
