I went to buy a nano last weekend for my girlfriend's birthday and the kid at the store told me about this announcement. He refused to sell me a nano at the time because the new ones were coming out.

I appreciate when a store does stuff like that. I'm in the market for a new washer & dryer now and I will definetly be giving that store my business. If you count the washer, dryer, nano, and I'm interested in the 160gb ipod for myself, that kid just made that store about $2500 worth of business from me. And I'm going to be sure to tell his manager about it too.

As for the iPhone, there is a whole heap of phones on the market that do the same, if not more for less money but its been marketed as so revolutionary that everyone just believes that there's no other way to have a phone that holds lots of mp3's.
