That was easily the best out of The Mix Up videos. You think them walking around with a bag and a briefcase is better?

I hope all of these go together to make a larger movie. They should make videos to every song and have them all work together as an album-length feature.

Thanks for posting. However, I'm having a hard time enjoying the video because I'm so over come with envy!! I mean, are these random extras?? Extras that are just kind of familiar w/ the BB?!? (I'm hoping it's their neighbors and pals) Imagine what it would mean for one of us to hang with the fellas in this setting?! It's like when you see them playing on Letterman to an audience full of soccer moms and such.

Bad attitude. Sorry. ...but I also want to mention how jealous I am of the ppl in their infomercial thing. Ok, I'm done.

That song playing during the intro is quite cool. Is that one of the B-Sides?

In this day and age of instant access to rare tracks, it's nice to just wait to hear them like back in the day. Even if it has to be self-imposed now.

That video was quite cool. Everybody is coming around to the whole 'hard day's night' idea, right? In time for chrimbo I hope. If I get any presents. Yauch, could you please personally deliver a copy of the new DVD to my house? My mum's birthday is coming up, and it would make her day if you got me a present.

Yeah- seems like it. So I might be making this up because I have trouble remembering what happened yesterday, much less several months ago- but wasn't there some buzz about Yauch not directing this? Again, I am probably making this up- but I seem to remember something about like a wacky small time comedy duo that interviewed the beastie boys (was it the weird table guys?) and then were asked to film a video with them a few days later. If my memory serves (again a big if) it was all around this time (when this video was filmed in Australia). Anyone with a better handle on any of this/ a desire to use the forum search feature have any recollection of this- or am I just pulling this all out of my ass?(which I'm prone to do, from time to time)

Oh child please.
Off the grid is the best video so far.

I think the local comedy guys were on the production side of video. I'm not sure how much creative/direction influence they had. But yeah, you're not totally pulling it out of your ass. :)

I just want to add, they were spotted hanging out with Spike Jonze in Melbourne so it's probably fairer to suspect he, than Merrick And Rosso. All speculation, but I doubt Merrick and Rosso were responsible for very much, knowing about them as we do.

I hope Spike is in on this.

it's all a big scary joke, like one day they're gonna be like "HAHAHAHA SURPRISE! SUCKERS! YOU BELIEVED US!? YEAH RIGHT! WE'D REALLY RELEASE THOSE CRAPPY VIDEOS! oh you guys.. april fools!" and we'll be like
*tilts head and smiles* "oh you silly beasties"
And then they'll show us the real videos and all will be well?

I doubt you were even talking about any of this.. but in my mind you were.

The videos are pretty good, and point to a bigger picture. Not my fault you've got no taste.

But yeah, to clarify, Merrick and Rosso were just asked to be in the vid yeah? It will be interesting when it's resolved.

I lost track of the Mix-up videos. So far we had videos for The Rat Cage, Off the Grid, Kangaroo Rat and now for Suco de Tagerina - I think there was a video for one more song. Can someone post a link?

And does anyone know where I can download a full version of the Rat Cage?

I enjoyed it. Took me away for awhile.

Just goes to remind us how multi-dimensional the beasties are. There is certain genre to fit certain parties, moods, or occasions that aquire different Beastie tracks. That is what makes the band unquestionably unique; they do it all (Punk, Funk, Jazz, Country, Blues, Hip-Hop, Gansta Rap, Rock, ect...).

Hey Justin, i thought that was Adrock coming up the stairs playing multiple roles, as he usually hams it up...as he should!! (y) But that might be his bro'?

Mix Master, Mixing the drinks.....aahh haa i get it!! :p Love the retro Jackie Brown airport bag. (lb)

ooh yeah, how come i didnt get an invite to that party?? ...ahh maybe next time!! I'll bring da cheese!!

that bomb looks a lot like the one in the sabotage video and adrock is cutting a "live wire" so maybe this is speaking to someone or some of us to slow down our summer cocktail shindigs a little;)
