I'm catching it. I dont really think I have a preferance, I just wish the show was somewhere other than Northerly. I like the United, thats where it was last time. They picked such shitty venues this time around.

Really...I don't think the United Center is really know for great sound. Outdoor venues usually sound pretty decent.
And Charter One is new so I would assume the acoustics would be good. And the Riv...any small/intimate show will rock.

Im not going to the Riv. but the last time I was there I didnt like it. I guess it wont be the same though, seeing as how the last show was heavy metal and this one acoustic. Im trying to get tickets on Ebay.
Im kind of curious to see Northerly.

i posted this once before but i'm told the northerly is all blacktop so wear super comfy shoes. i have officially become my mother.
i'm in a show of my own that night :( :) but maybe i'll go really late at 10:30 and see about getting in for that last song of the tour. not likely.
i'll be at the riv, though. really psyched for that one.
any word on secret gigs like they did last time in chi?

You must be crazy! The united center is probably the very last place i'd ever want to see a show in chicago. the sound is absolutely horrid, not to mention it's in a shitty area and it's so fuckin' big and impersonal. plus northerly island is dope as hell. it's outside, sounds nice, it's a great size, you can see the stage from wherever. and the riv is great too.
sorry, not trying to be the devil's advocate here :o, i'm just so surprised to hear that because i think they did a great job selecting venues this time around. and not just for chicago, but the whole tour!

Yes. United Center is one of the worst venues around. RBK -- I'll bet that you like the outdoor show on this tour better than the 2004 United Center one.

I've seen the boys 2wice at the Allstate. One time with Tribe and the other was supposed have Bad Brains on the bill but they got caught up with the law. The boys put on a great show, however the sound WAS like listening to a booming concert thru a tin-can with a few dents and holes in it. Poor place for any concert. Allstate is for kid shows, circuses and WWE.
United Center is for da BULLS and da Black Hawks...kiddie shows and Circus Soliei. The area is actually goin up due to the massive structure of the UIC campus virus spreading like the wildfire.
Id love to see the b-boys at the Tweeter Center formerly known as New World Music Theater. It is out in the open.
For this particular show. They should have done Millinium Park, or Grant Park. That would have joined both Southsiders and Northsiders.
Just sayin'
