All Right Now - Free. What a yawn inducing limp dicked performance. Even if the performance wasn't limp dicked, this song would probably only be average 70s boogie rock at best. This song never fails to put me to sleep. Rock n roll shouldn't put you to sleep.

Yeah, I'd probably say a lot of songs by the Beatles.
all of the crowd pleasers played on classic rock radio. i love floyd but everything after dark side for me is too prog and has been played to death.

anything by the Eagles.
I very rarely listen voluntarily to Led Zeppelin anymore. I sometimes queue up one of their more obscure album tracks, but anything that remotely resembles a single I've heard countless times before.
lynyrd skynyrd - sweet home alabama
def leppard - pour some sugar on me
i also hate sweet home alabama

I doubt that I can come up with an answer better than "Stairway." That really long Peter Frampton song was always guaranteed to make me turn the radio dial though.
I haven't listened to classic rock in such a long time that I find some of the songs listenable again, but probably only for one listen.

Imagine - John Lennon
Yesterday - The Beatles

please, sittin on the dock of the bay is so boring. tragic death but personally, i'm not one for pity praise for a song released after a death. he has so many better songs than that. i'm not hating on him or his music but that song is just wack.

i didn't even know he died, i just like that song
Freebird....worse than Sweet Home Alabama.
i think sweet home alabama is an infinitely worse song, but the fact that freebird is so damn popular makes it a contender, it's more popular than it deserves to be
although sweet home alabama has absolutely no reason to be popular, that song fucking sucks

it could do without the sound effects, but Sitting on the Dock of the Bay is about as far from wack as a song can get. it's up there with A Change is Going to Come.
Steve Cropper is awesome.

Tuesdays Gone > Freebird.
I like both though, for the record.
As for boring songs? Yeah, Imagine. I hate that song.

A lot of the songs already mentioned don't suck at all. All Right Now really does, though. And Pretty Woman. And Yesterday.
I say:
Born To Be Wild - Steppenwolf
Takin Care of Business - BTO
Losing My Religion - REM (and a lot of REM's music in general)
Break On Through To The Other Side - The Doors (and a lot of The Doors' music in general)
Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana (they're cool and all, but I could do without hearing this song ever again)
Red Red Wine - UB40 (or jut UB40 period)
It Ain't Hard To Tell - Nas
Ain't No Nigga - Jay-Z
HEIRESS

I fucking hate "yesterday" by any artist under the sun

The Fool On The Hill and Lady Madonna are the lamest "classic" Beatles songs ever, though.
yeahwho
09-14-2007, 02:28 PM
Isn't the term "Classic" is just a euphemism for "Oldies". The boomer generation fear the reaper.
Don't Let the Sun go Down on Me - Elton John (song is hideous)
After Midnight - Eric Clapton
Don't Stop - Fleetwood Mac
Magic Man - Heart
Rock And Roll - Led Zeppelin (Trashed by General Motors Corporation)
Those are some of the most highly rotated songs on "Classic Radio" that come to my mind. It is instant irritation when they come on the radio or the mall or the grocery store or the TV or the karaoke bar or anywhere.
There ought to be a limit law on ear cheese.

Try playing Freebird on Guitar Hero. You'll want to kill yourself.

I really hate Phil Collins. Every Tuesday and Thursday I pray that he will be hit by a bus.
Billy Ocean any and all of his trash
Most 80's music that was played on the radio was garbage. To prove this on the last episode on The Soprano's Steven Van Zandt was looking for the 80's song that Tony would listen to before he met his end*(If sound is slower than a bullet) and he tried to no avail. And after all the research he did Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" was as good as it gets. Steven was quoted saying he had no idea that the music of that era was that bad

i really like 'freebird' but most of the time i skip it cause the length can be a pain in the ass so i dont want to know how power willing it must be to finger yourself through the whole song
