Ask RZA this....way back when, when he was promoting "The World According To RZA" LP, he was on MTV doing a Diary Of...as he trekked round Europe recording. In once scene he's in the back of a car driving round and he sticks on the radio the song "The Final Round" from Rocky (basically the music during the final round of Rocky) and he raps over it, rapping from a sheet. The rhymes were animal, and completely suited the track. I always hoped he had recorded it or planned to. You could ask him bout that.

That was the same show where at the end he claimed he wanted to do more than music to help humanity and become a scientist.

I just read that Wu-Tang was the first group to successfully clear a Beatles sample. They're doing a track on their upcoming album that's a coverish type thing involving "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." Anyway, did any of this come up? I'd be really, really interested to know what the licensing fee was and whether they had to surrender their share of the composition copyright.
