so I moved to a place with wi fi and I have an iMac that's pretty old. but it's got this things called airport in it.

but see, I don't know what to do. like, do I have to get a modem thingy? a router?

I'M SO SCARED! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!

also, I am very lonely in my new house because there is no cort. and everybody goes to bed early because of school. :( and I can't set up the house at all because it still hasn't been painted. :( and george and the new cat aren't getting along :(

You don't need a modem or router if the WiFi is already present. Just activate the airport and search for the existing network.

and for the new cats it will probably take time. Try to sepreate them for a bit if it's too bad so they can sniff each other out under the door. Cats are usually funky at first and will get used to one another most of the time. One trick is to ruba towel on one and put it in the room with the other and visa versa so they can get used to each others smell.

we used to do that at work when we'd get a new intern

I think the cats might be okay. I was worried that george was annoying, but it turns out that my one roommate really likes him anyway. I guess his annoying personality traits are actually kind of like a dog's traits, which are in turn, cute. he's basically a clumsy oaf that makes a lot of noise.

thanks for the tip, belt parkway. I thought that's all I had to do, I just haven't tried it yet. everytime I try to look up what to do on the mac "help" website, it pretty much just tries to sell me boxes to plug in and won't give me any straight answers.
