I think Bent will turn out to be the worst buy of the season. they didn't even need another striker. Defoe couldn't even make the bench for the derby. they could've actually covered some of the positions where they need help, as 16 million buys an awesome defender, even two awesome defenders. or a star central midfielder.

perhaps they're planning for life after Berbatov, who clearly far too good to stay at such a loser club.
