Yeah, I found this out yesterday. My grandpa found to say, he stays in Lanark where colin stays (and where he crashed) and I think he sort of knows his dad but I didn't think anyone would care so I never posted it (also, at this time news was very scares. BBC.com only had it down as a helicopter crash in scotland with no mention of colin and sky news had a tiny bit of info)

It was him, his son, his friend and his friend son. And yes, he was piloting it. It was his copter.
