whoa. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/c/chelsea/7003912.stm) it comes just two days after Kenyon said there were no plans to fire him. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/c/chelsea/7000301.stm) Abramovich has obviously spoken.

I wonder who will replace him...Mark Hughes perhaps. Ronald Koemann? Gus Hiddink? Luiz Felipe Scolari?

Shevchenko will be happy, he might actually get to play a bit more.

if Barca keep playing (relatively) shit, I think Mourinho could end up there.

apparently all his backroom staff are leaving with him and Abramovich's lackey Avram Grant is going to temporarily fill the gap. with a game against Man Utd coming up this weekend, they could get pounded.

yea thats pretty shocking. theres always cuppello and lippi. i heard the coach of savilla mentioned too as a possible replacement.

im glad, with the players they have they should be playing a lot more attractive football.

man u win, they'll hose the shit out of chelsea pointing out mourinho was the backbone behind the team, chelsea win, man u are gonna cop it big time. this season i really hope one of the big 4 doesn't take the premier league. hopefully man city wins. that'll be a big FUCK YOU from sven. that'd be brilliant(y)

Yeah, this was a shock. Since he made it to the start of this season, you assumed he was here for at least the year. True, post-match interviews will be less interesting, but the man was a bit of a tool.

Haha..I wonder what Abramovach thinks...he looks across London at Arsenal who are top of the league having spent a fraction of what he's spent, a manager who is more than happy and fans who want to got see their team. (24,000 at Chelski on Tuesday night, 59,000 at the Emirates...)

But Im really pleased for the smug as fuck Chelsea players, Fat Frank and Terry, but specially that wankstain Cole. He's got him self a handful of cup medals now, and he's stuck on a sinking ship whilst his old team are top of the league....

He's been replaced with the current Director of Football

^yeah I don't think Grant can be considered a long term solution. I doubt the players will respond to him and they must surely be waiting for Hiddink to be finished with the Russian national team. a big club demands a big manager.

if things don't turn completely to shit while they wait, Hiddink could make a good go of it. he's quality.

Well, he's not been appointed as a caretaker so we'll see how long he can last. He's chummy chummy with Roman which comes as no surprise.

i think abramovich would rather hiddink finishes off in russia, before he comes to chelsea, so i wouldnt be surprised if grant moves back "upstairs" next summer. no way chelsea are going to win anything this year now.

no kidding, he was given his job by Abramovich and it was essentially to be Roman's spy in the dressing room. none of the players will like him as he's obviously the representative of the side which forced their very popular manager out. best bet is that he's a stop gap measure.

yeah, except that 'upstairs' is really peering over Hiddink's shoulder making sure every tactic and substitution meets with 'God's approval.
