In all seriousness though...
In my humble opinion Tribe are among a small group of the most important artists to ever bless hip-hop. Just as Tip showed some love for the boys last year it would be fitting for them to reciprocate. Seems unlikely because of their prominent places in the last 2 HHH shows, but would be amazing! I mean they'll be done with the tour and the shows in their backyard- so why the hell not!?! Anyway even if they don't perform I'm definitely into the show for the tribe, they deserve to be honored.

Tribe def deserves to be honored. I think they should give some other artists a chance to pay homage though, partially because the Boys were in the last two and because tribe was part of the whole afro-centric movement and it'd kinda make more sense to have a black artist or 2 or 3 do their songs.

but I gotta admit Q-tip being like the only legit collaborator on a B-Boys album is not enough. I mean, doing shit with Biz and the Cypress Hill whatcha want was tight fo sho, but I wanna see some dope Beastie rhymes and some other shit too! That would be too much!!!

That's pretty funny -- I just bought tickets to see Q-Tip in a few weeks . I've convinced myself that since it's in NYC, mid-way through the show the Beastie Boys are going to run out on stage and do Get it Together. Yes, it's good to have your dreams:)

Yeah, I hear ya, though I do believe tribe's afrocentric vibe evolved from loving your culture toward being able to show love for yourself and for the world outside yourself... but this might be a conversation for some other place. I guess I was just sayin it would be nice for the boys to show some love. Respect to the tribe, always:
