His debut album, Perseverance, released recently. It's a lot of the same content-wise. Growing on me, but I expected better. I'm not a fan of Madlib's beats though. One of the tracks has a NES Contra beat, pretty cool.

this thing is reaaaaal good. top album of the year for me. im a big fan of madlib regaurdless, and he does a good job. if your into rap i suggest you checker oot.

He's planning on releasing a second album with remixes of the Perseverance songs, and some new songs. I haven't bought the album yet. Is the booklet /really/ thick? I heard it has all the lyrics inside.

I fucking loved his 12" with Four Tet a few years back. If the album is even a shade of that, then it's a copper bottomed stomper...

It's not as good as his compilation album, Legendary Status, but it's still nice. I didn't care for the guest appearances. I would have liked to see Lord Finesse, Big Daddy Kane, or Rakim on it.
