Fractured a rib just over a month ago. Not that a doctor can really do anything, but I get my follow up X-ray tomorrow. Go sit
in the imaging clinic for a couple of hours, waiting to be called.
This really sucks, though. My apartment's pretty much a wreck, because cleaning is all about the reaching, bending, twisting,
and I haven't been up for that. Tying my shoes is uncomfortable, but much better than it was. I don't have the surprise of
stabbing pain anymore.
*crosses fingers*
Sitting and laying down can be uncomfortable, and so, adjusting for that, my back is getting pinched and screwed up. And the
weird thing is that, as the rib heals, it feels like the fist-sized lump against my ribs shifts, so every couple of days, what was a
comfortable position has become uncomfortable again.
Mainly it sucks because I haven't been able to work out for a month, and maybe can't for a month more. Usually, ribs take
4-12 weeks to heal. I've been taking extra calcium.
I tell ya -- if this is the beginning of the body falling apart, I'm going to be pissed. I hadn't expected this for another
0-20 years. (n)
Yeah, but anyway. Basically, the diet and stuff went out the window because I got so pissed off and frustrated. I've gained a couple
pounds, so I need to get that in check.
Fuck.
