sorry if its old news.
so, appeareantly, the beastie boys have been involved in the NME campaing to brign the sex pistols' ''god save the queen'' to number one in the british chart.
i'm not really sure if they did a cover of the song or something, but there's gonna be daily ''tributes'' to the song posted on the nme site (starting on oct 14) by Foo Fighters, Nine Inch Nails, Blondie, Klaxons and the Beastie Boys - or so the news i just got in said.
sounds interesting? i didnt know anything about it, but the nme site also says that theres been an interview with the boys on a recent issue (i think last week's...) heres a very small pic of it:
