and it's not what I expected. It's a very mellow album. I was hoping for a harder, wacky release to offset White Pepper and Quebec (Love both albums), but it's still great. (y)

I haven't "loved" a Ween album since The Mollusk, but Friends is kinda a deep tune.

A friend's a friend who knows what being a friend is, talking with a friend.
As friends we were always so close but so far away...
friends in life are special do you want me as your special friend?
Cause you're the friend that I've been searching for.

I see your point, but White Pepper is a solid record. I never skip through tracks when listening to it and If You Could Save Yourself (You'd Save Us All) on Quebec is one of the most heartfelt and touching songs I've ever heard.

I thought La Cucharacha was the funnest album they've made since Chocolate and Cheese. 'Fiesta' is a blast, 'With My Own Bare Hands' is the dirtiest thing they've written in 10 years and 'Shamemaker' sounds like a b-side from Pure Guava.
