Beastie Boys say Sex Pistols album is so important

Ad Rock joins calls to to get 'God Save The Queen' into UK singles charts
2 hours ago
Beastie Boys's Ad Rock has declared the Sex Pistols' album, 'Never Mind The Bollocks', one of the greatest records ever.

The rapper was pledging his support to a campaign to get the band's anthem 'God Save The Queen' into the UK singles charts (October 11), when he claimed the band's debut was among the greatest ever made.

"I'm a massive Sex Pistols fan, 'Never Mind The Bollocks' is one of the most important albums ever," he declared.

He added that he liked the idea of seeing the band's 1977 single back in the charts after 30 years.

"I love 'God Save The Queen' man," he said. "It does deserve to go to Number One."

NME.COM is backing a campaign to send the record back to Number One next week after it was cheated out of the top spot 30 years ago.

'God Save The Queen' was denied its rightful place at Number One because the authorities feared the punk anthem would spoil the Queen's Silver Jubilee celebrations in 1977.

We want to right that wrong and are encouraging everyone to buy the record this week (from October 8) as the track is reissued on vinyl.

Either head down the record shop now or you can buy it from 7digital.com or other downloaders like iTunes

It would be pretty cool, if it will work for them.

I love Horovitz <3

He's a man after my own heart. Infact, if you search up Sex Pistols on google, one of the first things that will come up is the NME website, and theres a icon of the bboys next to it.
