I, on the other hand, would really like a stromboli. I think they're much better than calzones.

I don't know what stromboli is except for that I associate it with a weird guy I know that says it all the time.

Traditionally a stromboli is basically the same thing as a calzone, except a stromboli is made without the marinara sauce inside it... instead the sauce is served on the side. Also, a calzone is typically folded into a half-moon shape whereas a stromboli is usually made into more of a loaf shape.

Strombolis, as a rule, also have to have mozzarella cheese in them and typically don't have ricotta cheese in them, which is not uncommon for calzones.
