I have this idea from another message board I'm on, and there it's as popular as the 'what are you listening to' thread here.

The point is to post a word that you find beautiful, interesting, funny or whatever, and share it with us. Either for our amusement or to teach us certain words we hadn't yet heard of.

I'll start with one of my favourite words in the English language:

u·biq·ui·tous /yuˈbɪkwɪtəs/ [yoo-bik-wi-tuhs] –adjective

existing or being everywhere, esp. at the same time; omnipresent:
ubiquitous fog; ubiquitous little ants.

Aluminium.

Okay, however you say it, it doesn't matter. Just write it. Make sure you do it all joined up, or cursive whatever you people call it. It's just the nicest, most perfect word to write. Flowing and smooth. I was on an engineering course and had to write that word a few times, it was most enjoyable.

I was just checking our local weather at CNN, and it said "Dreary." That cracks me up. I mean, okay, yeah, I guess, but... that just seems
kind of subjective for an "official" weather vocabulary.

"Dreary." :D Sunny, cloudy, chance of rain, mild, dreary.
