Does anyone know why the Jets are wearing those blue/gold uniforms, and not green?

On October 14, 2007, The New York Jets will celebrate their heritage with a special “Titans Throwback Day.” The Jets will wear the navy and gold uniforms worn by the New York Titans during their game against the Philadelphia Eagles at the Meadowlands.
